COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We admit it. We have a problem... We love our hops. We especially adore the amazing science of hops! As homage to our favourite wonders of nature, we present to you our award-winning Headstock IPA. The flowering humulus lupulus hop-cone provides us with the vital acids, essential oils and resins that permeate throughout our IPA. The result is a deliciously obscene wallop of tropical fruit, citrus and pine flavours and aromas any hop-head would gladly give a DNA sample for. We conclude that hop science is one tasty passion.

Mmm aroma of citrusy tropical fruits. Beautiful pour into a spigleau IPA glass. Really good IPA with lots of tropical fruit flavours and hops. Really impressed that this came out of a $3 can. Usually IPAs this good are $10 in AB.

Poured from a bottle. Murky golden color, medium to small frothy white head. Musky hops aroma. Medium body with a real sweet hops flavor and a medium light bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

473 ml can from the LCBO.

Appearance: Pours a golden amber colour, almost lager colour, with a good finger and a half of thick white head. Retention is good and there is lots of lacing left behind.

Aroma: Hops, candied fruit, bread.

Flavours: Hops, lemon, orange, malt.

Mouthfeel: Full with lots of carbonation.

Overall: Great IPA with lots of hops and lemon coming through. Full bodied with a nice crisp bitter finish.

473 ml can. Pours a clear dark gold with a minimal white head. Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit (mango if I had to guess). Tastes are similar but add in a robust hoppy kick that will easily snap you out of an afternoon lull. Sharp astringent bite, and a bitter finish that’s longer than a Canadian highway (credit to Sam Roberts on that quote). Pretty nice job hiding a hefty 7% abv. This beer’s a winner.

Aroma: sweet malts, weak mango and resin, some meat or mushroom notes. Taste: moderate sweeteness, moderate to strong bitterness. Flavour has yeasty meaty notes. Strong bitterness in the aftertaste. Not sure about those strange notes.

CAN 473 ML from bunget. Hazy golden-amber, white frothy head. Sweet malty aroma with the hops far in the background. Some yeasty off-flavour. The taste is moderately sweet, hops, moderate bitterness and that yeasty note too. Not bad, but certainly flawed.

On tap at Barley Brothers. Pours a hazy light yellow gold with a white head that lasts through the beer and laces. Aroma has musty pine and earthy grass with a wet grain backbone. Flavor has sweet grain and bread notes with a musty pine note.

Slightly hazy amber pour with large frothy head. Aroma of malts, pine, and hops. Taste of malts, hops, grapefruit, faint citrus and a hint of caramel. Full bodied, high carbonation, long bitter hop finish. Very average beer, not remarkable at all.

Great beer from a local brewery that cannot make enough of the stuff. Was just there to grab a growler and they were out of some varieties. I know they are already expanding.
