Headstock Lager is brewed to the strict standards of the Bavarian Purity act of 1516. A true long aged lager, light gold in colour, naturally carbonated for an exceptional smooth finish. Enjoy! Formerly known as Nickel Brook Headstock Light

A simple, but well made lager. Nice grainy malts, pale with some nice straw flavors and aromas. Grassy hops, subtle spice. Light bitterness, refreshing. Decent.

Can from the LCBO. Clear and bright golden-yellow body with a small white head. Clean aroma of sweet doughy malt and grassy hops. Flavour follows - simple, crisp, clean and balanced. Bit of lemon and lime zest in the finish, along with a light grassy note. A simple, well crafted lager.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2013 This lager poured a clear light yellow colour with a big, bright white foamy head. Scents include corn, dough and malt. First taste was weak and watery with light corn / malt flavours most predominant. Finish is thin and lifeless. Disappointing.

Can from my bro (thanks!), served cold in a tulip glass. Slightly hazy golden with a decent white head. Butter and oddly sweet/fruity, grassy hop notes, strange and pretty "dirty" for a light lager. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Diacetyl, grainy, biscuit, slightly fruity malts, no hops to speak of, only slightly cleaner than the nose; dry with minimal bitterness and a pleasant malty finish off toast crust and biscuit. Stick to ales, fellas.

473 mL can. Gold with a small white head. A the aroma and flavour are mostly malty (grass and biscuit), but there are some hops in the flavour to balance the sweetness. Nothing fancy, but I can see myself throwing a bunch of these in the fridge next summer.

Seen this online in bottles sold as headstock light 4% but I have a can called headstock lager 4.4%: 2 finger head that b4 beer is done is all gone. Pale golden lager, some carbination. Not much 2 the smell like yeat, barley, bread kinda a little just beer smell maybe. Taste is water, barley, yeasty, bready. Sit’s heavy kinda ruff and gross, Not the worst Nickel brook beer(that gluten free thing might be for what I have had so far)but not likeing this a super lot had worse and better 4/10

473mL can from the lickbow, sold as ’Headstock Lager’. Pours a nice pale gold with a medium white head. Aroma is of cereal grains and pale malts, maybe a metallic hop touch as well. Flavour is mild but pleasing, creamy sweet cereal grains, nice pepper bite in the finish. Mild carbonation for the style and a light body. Decent on a Sunday afternoon. I can’t wait to see some poor fool enter this as a new beer and split the forthcoming ratings.

On tap at 2011 Kitchener Ribfest & Craft Beer Show. Pours a clear bright golden colour with frothy white head. Smells quite strongly of biscuity grains. Flavour is also quite biscuity - simple but pleasant. Not much finish, but more body than expected for a "light".

Tap at the sound of music fest. Really liked this one, my first thought is that this one is only light in abv but not in flavour, For a beer labeled as light this one is really tasty stuff it was fairly grainy in taste but yet smooth and it had a nice aroma. Good offering
