COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To be immodest has to lack humility and decency. With out ’Immodest’ Imperial IPA, we achieved just that! Obscene use of Citra & Simcoe hops will atack your senses with bright citrus fruit, balanced with earthy pine notes. The indecency doesn’t stop there, as it packs a wallop at 9.5% but you won’t notice because it drinks so remarkably smooth. Don’t worry, your modesty isn’t needed here.

16 oz can from Cappy’s at home. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have big earthy, herbal hops, some green onion character, light citrus, dank character, pale toasted malts, some caramel, moderate bitterness to the finish, decent enough imperial Ipa.

Can from the LCBO. Cloudy deep orange amber with a large lingering off white head. Nose is primarily citrus with moderate pine notes and a caramel background. Flavour follows the nose with grapefruit, lemon, and pine bitterness over a lightly sweet caramel base. Medium+ chewy body with a lingering bitter finish. Alcohol is well integrated for an IIPA. 9-/4/8/4/17+

Good Drink!

Cannette .

Can at home - 9.0%abv. Pours amber with a white head. Big sprucy, piney aroma with sweet mango, passion fruit and a hint of red berry - nice. Medium body, medium carbonation. Caramel, pine, orange, lemon, light mustiness with some bitter grapefruit in the finish, lightly boozy with a slight, momentary, metallic thing. After the lovely aroma its a bit disappointing. A bit too sweet and slightly dull. OK.

June 14, 2013 - on draught at Volo. Mostly clear and refractive slightly oily looking brassy gold with an average lasting off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, catty bitterness, light fruity malt - not over the top at all (7+). Taste - incredibly pungent and catty, big alcohol and moderate tropical fruit malt backbone - pretty solid DIPA, really - might actually be sweet, but so well hopped hard to tell (8+). Solid, almost thick body, low level but acceptable carbonation, medium boozy/pungent finish, not quite palate-coating - good damned beer.

Thanks to cfrancis for this one. Pours a hazy orangish copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of caramel malts, citrus hops, grapefruit and light pine. Taste is a sweet malty caramel, grapefruit hops, citrus rinds and slick bitterness on the finish... Great balance for a 9.5 percent iipa.

Growler from the brewery my good friend Erik shared with me and tasting at the brewery. Overall the best IIPA I have ever had. A perfect balance of malt and hops. Fantastic aroma of citrus and grapefruit hops, malt, caramel, bitterness. Taste is even better than the aroma. Super refreshing for an IIPA. Citrus, grapefruit and floral hops extravaganza balanced with top malt flavor. Alcohol almost completely hidden. Very easy to drink and hence very dangerous ;).

On tap at volo. Hazy dark orange pour, medium off white head. Huge citrus zest aroma, sweet and sticky, with thick lacing on the glass. Lots of malts, cause the beer is quite sweet, but still very bitter. This is basically i think a ramped up version of the headstock. It tastes like headstock dialed up to 11. Super citrucy, but at the same time sweet and malty. Well balanced, but a big beer, slightly boozy, but still very drinkable.

At Arrow and Loon. From a can, pours a fair amount of frothy white head and has a pale golden appearance. Fairly excessive carbonation. Dirty lacing. Aromas are quite hoppy, citrus and floral hops abound. Flavours are mainly citrus, piney and grassy hops. Also some note of floral hops. Nice bitterness on the palate, blends well with sweetness. Great retention. Good stuff.
