COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To be immodest has to lack humility and decency. With out ’Immodest’ Imperial IPA, we achieved just that! Obscene use of Citra & Simcoe hops will atack your senses with bright citrus fruit, balanced with earthy pine notes. The indecency doesn’t stop there, as it packs a wallop at 9.5% but you won’t notice because it drinks so remarkably smooth. Don’t worry, your modesty isn’t needed here.

Tap at Volo
Aroma citric, herbal with nettle. Malty backing. Late note of lime and alcohol.
Appearance medium white top with gold hazed base. Touch of amber.
Flavor and Palate : vegetal onion like front. Musky with hop backing. Beyond strange onion notes you will be greeted with heat of alcohol and citric hops. Could my sample be off?

From the can. Murky dark orange color, with a little fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, and earthy somewhat metallic hops. Taste is earthy hops, sweet malts, and a bitter bite. Drying finish. Maybe an older can? Could not find a BOD. Not my thing.

Sweet citrusy hops with a hint of mango and other tropical fruits. Medium carbonation, starts sweet, caramel, grapefruit juice. Dry with resiny bitterness at back end. Doesn’t feel like 9% ABV or as bitter as the 85 IBU would suggest. However, the high alcohol hits you like a brick soon enough! (canned 03/17/16, tasted 03/26/16)

can courtesy of mathieuc, many thanks bro! unclear light but bright golden with a very nice white head offering good retention and lacing. sweet tangerines, buttery melon, berry and mango fruitiness, toastiness - with some caramel unfortunately; lots of fruity sugars, tingling alcohol, lots of sticky resin. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily; sweet and unbalanced citrusy-piney finish. under-attenuated, buttery over-ripened mangoes. meh.

Pours hazy honey with a creamy firm slightly off-white head. Decent streaky lacing. Looks pretty great. Nose is dull considering what’s written in the description. Notes of pine-needles, earth, and pot. A little sweet, but it’s quite well balanced for such a big beer. Alcohol is well masked behind sweet medium roasted bready malts, and tangerine and resiny hops. There were some cardboard accent in the offset which left quickly. Apricot and modest caramel in the finish. I could see two of these causing a lot of problems. Nice to see Nickel Brook achieving balance in the big beer category. This is extremely good, even considering the $5/can price tag.

Location: 16 oz can purchased at Andersons Sawmill Appearance: Deep golden pour. Tiny white bubbles. Good Lace Nose: Pine and citrus. A touch of acrid and funk. Taste: Clover honey on the tongue followed by fresh pine forest and a touch of grapefruit Body: Medium to lighter body. Parting thoughts: Very nice IPA from a can. from Canada. That might be a first for me.

Thanks to "Justin" for this pint sized can, 9.0%. Pours a strong golden with a small offwhite head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of fruits, pine, very faint onions and alcohol. I say alcohol but this doesn’t feel at all like an headache coming and it doesn’t feel like 9% at all. Taste is slightly sweet, offers a piny (and moderately high) bitterness and more fruits. The sweetness I wouldn’t describe as caramel, more like a simple syrup. Pretty agressive but not from the alcohol, just from the constant beating of the hops. Body is moderate, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is slightly syrupy and sticky. Intense drying alcohol. A pretty fun strong boost IIPA. For technical/social purposes I would go for multiple Headstock instead of one of these, though.
