Maybe I got a bad bottle, because looking down this page I see a few regulars I respect and they seem okay with this beer. Yes, yes Freaky_tiki youíre on this list. But here it is. Pours a golden cloud, with three fingers of fluffy head that would not settle. Smells of resin hops, pepper and bubble gum. Weird. Taste? Lots of sour-off flavours, bitterness, as well as pepper, tough to suss out malts. I have to give this my lowest score Iíve ever given a craft beer. Nickel Brook folks, send me another for free and Iíll re-evaluate, but I canít buy this again on my own, thatís right, nickel.

When I first tried to buy this at the LCBO they wouldnít let me cuz they didnít know how much to charge for it. When I asked a worker why I wasnít allowed to buy something that is on their shelf he said "itís not that youíre not allowed to, itís just that you canít." I am sorry, WTF? Anyway, another store didnít mind selling their products, and I gots me a bottle. Pours beautiful gold with a bubbly cap that collapses quicker than Ontario manufacturing sector. Crisp bursts of lemon zest, orange marmalade & subtle spicing make it a really good local farmhouse saison.

750 mL bottle. Pours lightly hazed burnt gold with a thick foamy head. Aromas of peach, nectarine and woody hop mingle with spicy yeast and grainy malt notes. Quite dry, with only a touch of bready sweetness and a well bittered finish. Creamy palate with carbonation a little shy of heavy. Very nice.

2014/06/28 - Pours a hazy orange/honey colour with a large foamy white head that lingers. Aroma is Belgian yeast, wheat, banana esters, mild citrus, spices, mild funk with floral and herbal notes. Taste is banana esters, clove, mild spices, yeast, wheat and floral & herbal hops. Body is medium and chewy, with lots of lively carbonation and a drying and slightly acidic finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear brew with a decent head and amberish colour. Very estery aroma with some herbal spice and fresh cut flowers. On the palate it is medium bodied with a bit of heat those estery and spicy notes come through well enough. Decent brew with a leafy bitter finish.

Clear, bubbly yellow with a very small, quickly fading head. Aroma is grass, cantaloupe and sweet caramel. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Taste is sweet malts up front with aromatic hops and yeast in the middle and a refreshing, dry finish with just a hint of spice.

I found this more of a pale ale rather than a saison. It had a rather dry palate and grains but the definite amarillo hop presence threw me off by sweetening and bittering the beer. Still good but seems like a confused beer as to its classification.

On tap at the Second Ottawa Brewers Market. Pale amber with a thin white head that disappears completely. Bit of grass, some very light spice, bit of green apple, grapefruit and some citrus. Mild body, moderate+ carbonation, touch tart, light, couldnít pick up much in terms of hops and the flavour combination was a little odd.
