Rating #888 - January 6, 2014 - #mondaynightbeers @RevolutionYeg, 8 oz on draught, 5%, Dark amber pour with a bubbly, lasting white foam. Aroma is sweet piney, lemony, mild grassiness. Taste is a blast of citrusy sweetness, tempered by a decent punch of hoppy bitterness. Not unbelievably memorable, but a decent APA. Nice.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours a pale golden color with a small white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild citrus and pine with some cereal grains. Taste is a malty and fruity sweetness with a light citrus and pine hop bitterness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. A nicely done pale ale that I was genuinely surprised about when tasting.

(Cask at Red House, Kingston, Nov 26 2013) Pours a very hazy medium-dark gold with a big cap of white froth. Aroma some pine and vegetal notes with a bit of citrus pith. Flavour weakly hoppy, pine and earthy with a slight fruity character, pale and rather grainy malts prominent in the middle, moderately bitter finish. Mouthfeel was a light-bodied cask ale, typical for style. I have a feeling the cask may not have been at its best, but this was a boring pale ale at best and blown away by the draught version of Rhyme and Reason, also brewed by Ryan Morrow, which followed.

Cask. Pours pinapple juice with a well sparkled head. Hop notes of tropical fruit on the nose; pinapple, mango, citrus and a hint of pine. A mild touch of biscuity malt. Dry and light bodied with a slightly bitter finish. A great pale ale, really accentuated by cask format.
