Sometimes our neighbours are just too enticing to resist! In this case, our newest ward-winning product pays homage to our naughty neighbours to the south, as our American Pale Ale has something for everyone! For hop lovers, the huge aroma of citrus and pine greet the nose and the hops continue on the palate as hoppy flavour persists, leaving a remarkably easy drinking crisp, dry finish. We pack all this hop aroma and flavour in a brew that is only 4.9% on purpose, which leaves a hugely sessionable beer that is perfectly refreshing on hot summer days! No additives. No preservatives. Naturally carbonated for a smooth, crisp finish.

This is one of my go-to beers. Always have a 6-pack or a couple cans on hand as it’s a very easy-drinking beer and a top notch pale ale that is very flavourful but not too hoppy or bitter. It also looks great

On tap at Barley Brothers. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma combines tropical fruit with sweet citrus and has a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has more straw and grain with supporting notes of earthy citrus underlying.

473ml can from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Golden in colour with a thin white head, good lacing. The aroma is of light hops, caramel, oranges. The flavour is of light citrus, caramel sweetness, lightly bitter. Finishes smooth, some lingering sweetness.

Tap at Beer Revolution YEG. Hazy dark yellow in colour. Creamy and tightly beaded white cap. Citrusy nose. Grains, citrus and a bit of fruit taste, bit of dryness in the end. Pretty drinkable.

Bon deal.

473ml can brought back from Canada by Sarah. Unfiltered orange-yellow body. Frothy off-white head. Crisp mild lemony tinged hops, maybe some amarillo too. Thin pale golden malt body almost like a Golden Ale or Session IPA. Pretty good, sensible Canadian/UK feel. Very sessionable. OK.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2015 Grapefruit and a few other citrus flavours are all over this delicious session beer, which was created for the patio and the summer sun. The recipe appears to have been tweaked a bit since the move to Hamilton and I’m liking this beer even more.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden colour with a finger of white head. Decent retention with an average amount of lacing.

Aroma: Hops, citrus, grapefruit.

Flavours: Grapefruit, orange, mango, hops.

Mouthfeel: Smooth with higher carbonation.

Overall: What a great pale ale! Tons of grapefruit, citrus and hops without an overwhelming amount of alcohol.

50cl can via IP trade in Brussels, thanks to asheft - Alex. Canned 03/16/2015.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2015 Can from the LCBO. Huge hop dominated aroma of grapefruit, grapefruit rind and citrus. Not as bitter on the finish as the aroma would indicate, quite smooth and crisp. Almost pilsner-esque in terms of hoppy character on the finish .Light straw body with a thin white head.
