750ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Hazy golden yellow in colour with a very thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is quite hoppy, a bit tropical, some pale malts. The flavour is only lightly hoppy, more sweetness, floral. Lightly sweet mouthfeel, light body, mild carbonation. Finishes fairy quick. Rather boring. A huge letdown for me. Was expecting a more hoppy beer for sure.

[6174-20140208] Bottle. Bitter grainy pine hops aroma. Clear, orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Grainy bitter hops flavour. Bitter medium body is fairly smooth. Good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

750 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass. 04OC14

App.: Clear bright golden with a thin white head. Aroma: A little citrus, floral, definitely smells like fresh, leafy hops, a bit spicy, limited biscuit malt aroma. Palate: Medium-ish body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: The hops are a little less citrusy, more leafy/spicy, light floral flavours, reasonable biscuit malt support, a touch earthy, not bad; dry with moderate bitterness and a fairly clean, lightly citrusy finish.

Not bad.

Bottle, Embrun LCBO. Hazy gold, some remnants of a bubbly white head. Nice lemon and orange citrus aroma - grassy as well. Fresh and almost minty. Taste is nice - bright citrus fruit taste, light body - very light actually - clean, short finish, super drinkable. No gimmicks - this is what a west hop ale should be - right on style with the fresh hops making the better better and unique. Well done Nickel Brook and well done high quality Ontario hops!

From 750 ml bottle in camping mug during a snowy winter camping trip. Can’t describe color. Persisting off white frothy head. Nose is strong fresh hops. Lots of passion fruit, mango and citrus. Nice sweetness. Taste is bubble gum and almost like medicine. Pleasant sweetness. Light body. Tasty beer with a fruity hop profile. Overall a bit watery though.

Really nice beer! Pours clear golden some initial head that sticks around as a nice top layer, tons of lacing. Nose is reasonably quiet, some pine and grapefruit. Flavours are grapefruit, some cereal, light pine. Taste light sweet light/med bitter. Lightish body with lively carbonation. Very drinkable, reasonably uncomplicated beer. Nothing wrong with that.

Bottle, shared with TylerDurden. Bright hazy orange, nice creamy head. Orange citrus hop character, some grassy notes too, mildly bitter finish, not too sweet in the malt department. Quite nice, subdued.

750 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour with good-sized, creamy white head. Aroma is lively floral and light citric hops with some sweet malt. Flavour has nice fresh hops, mostly floral but also a little citric, and some sweet fruity malt. Soft carbonation. Pretty nice.

One of the better wet hop beers that I’ve ever had. Pours hazy gold with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is big citrus and grassy malts. Taste is a blessed blend of big citrus hop flavouring and moderate bitterness and grassy malts. Awesome.
