2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 PictouRx (120) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 16, 2012
Got this in sample pack, I am torn on this one. Pours cloudy pale gold yellow, with ample head, good carbonation. I get a musty almost mildewy smell from this, not sure. First sip is a surprise and not in good way, I get sour as overwhelming taste. I don’t know, this I don’t like, as much as I want to.

Sample from the tap at the low ills pub. Bit light for my liking, but would do in a pinch

Single can purchased from an LCBO in Ottawa, Ontario on 06/05/2012. Colour: Medium-dark orange with just slightly off-white head. Nose: Freshly chopped pecans and almonds, lightly toasted malts, bruleed caramel. Taste: Medium sweet, medium-light hops, medium-light sour. Like the other organics I have tasted, everything here tastes like it was freshly picked, roasted and poured into a glass for me. Delicious toasted malt is to die for, and it lingers forever on the finish.

Award winning USDA Organic, it says on the can.... well what do I care? I’m in Canada, where’s the Canadian certified organic jibberjab on the can!? Yet the body is a decent gold colour with a stormy presence of carbonation and a significantly large off-white head. The aroma is malt and yeast with just a faint hint of grass. The flavour is a lot of grassiness with a dry malt finish. Very watery mouthfeel. As far as I’ve discerned so far, the Euros do this organic stuff waaay better.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 whitecap (283) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 15, 2012
341ml bottle from an OCB sampler six-pack. Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy white head that quickly dissipates into a white rim with good lacing. Aroma of grain, yeast, floral hop, grass, vegital notes. taste is mildly bitter with a touch of sourness. didn’t do it for me. Maybe my bottle was off?
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Tiger_08 (132) - Sarnia, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 2, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2012 May 1 2012. 341ml bottle pours deep cloudy yellow with decent white bubbly head. Head settles to cap and leaves ok lacing. Appearance and aroma give negative impression. If there was more lasting carbonation might be better. Smells very sour off at first but settles down to acidic sweetness and grass. This tastes like apple cider! At least the palate is crisp and dry and I don’t find much of an aftertaste to it. And I say at least because that makes it drinkable. Once.

Pale copper-golden colour. Tight white head. The aroma is lightly malty with a little bit of pale crackery character. Very light palate with a sort of gassy carbonic bite. As it warms the malts intensify a little bit but it’s still pretty light on the palate. A faint touch of herbal hoppiness and a touch of light bitterness. Warming really brings up a fairly pronounced bit of acetaldehyde that could be done without. A bit of tinniness on the finish as well. Meh.

Sugary rice crispy aroma, smells more pale than the golden color. Beet sugar sweetness, grainy slippery finish.
