2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 gilvanblight (686) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 12, 2009
Dark rusty red pour with a thin head. Surprisingly dark for an organic, all I have had have been light. Earthy scent of hops. Very dry. Odd taste. Can’t quite place it. Not bad but not great.

From Can
Clear golden colour with fast to go off white head, very little lacing after the head goes. Yeasty bready aroma. Flavour is slightly butter and bready with some light bitters. Decent body.

Can from matt7215. Thanks once more. Hazy light amber, showing yeast trace, with a bubbly whiteish head. Aroma is a little bread, some yeast, and something like floral hop. Near medium body with almost creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly bready, with something suggesting citrus, and maybe a touch of vanilla. A mildly fruity lager. Finishing slightly astringent and decently bitter. Some good beers are being made in Ontario.

I tried this beer on August 6, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent golden red with a creamy white head. The aroma was bready malts, some yeast, and hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour was malty up front with a bitter finish.

This beer poors a hazy orange gold colour, or as my girlfriend informs me, rusty gold...with a thin white, slowly diminishing head. Aroma of light malt caramel, grass, and something weird, like a moldy flower...? Flavour is decent, hops at first, and fair amount of malty sweet goodness, some fruit notes, finishes on a strange but good sort of vegetable sweetness/hop dryness note. All and all, one of the better organic beers i’ve had.

(Rating #2516)

This lager poured a light orange colour with a short lived bright white head. To the nose there are scents of must, caramel, mold and grass. Remember the smell of old books in your grandparents attic? Add that too. First taste is watery with a little caramel and hopps? Musty flavour too. This beer is slightly bitter with I think hopps but I’m thinking its just off...Duh?! Finish is a little bitter with lingering flavour of mineral water??? Not so good...

Fresh can, via trade with Matt 1275, thanks man! Pours a nice copper yellow, nice small head but it goes away really quickly. Not much to the aroma - mild skunky/saaz like hops, some mild fruit as well. Taste is good though - full flavoured lager with lots of malt sweetness and a nice dose of hops. Fruity/veggie finish takes away a bit. There is a hint of the spiciness I got earlier in the Creemore Kellerbier as well. Not too bad, having it very fresh is key I imagine.

Aroma of fruited malt, some mlid hops too, deep amber, small firm finger of white foam head, with lace. Taste has less fruity malt than the nose, light bodied, creamy mouthfeel, nicely bitter. Fairly good little offering.
