COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a Munich style spice beer with ginger, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Using filtered water, selected malted barley, yeast and the finest aroma hops imported from Germany. Cold fermented, naturally carbonated and aged for 30 days gives this beer a distinguished and flavourful character with a pleasantly sweet maltiness to balance out the spices. Only 1000 litres were produced. info@nickelbrook.com

A reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet vinous malt with light treacle, alcohol, and light pumpkin spices. In mouth, a nice oily malt with light coffee notes, pumplin spices, nutmeg, not bad. On tap at Arrow and Loon, Oct. 17 2012. CASK

17OC12. Half pint (cask) at Loon. Clear deep ruby copper with a white rim. Some pumpkin spicing, fairly strong, sweet maltiness, caramel, brown sugar, a touch of alcohol, lightly fruity, can’t believe that the spicing is intentional. Medium body, nearly still. Plenty of malt, black pepper, some restrained pumpkin spicing (I think), odd; lightly sweet with limited bitterness and a somewhat alcoholic, malty, spicy finish. This beer was on cask at the same time as a Pumpkin Beer. I thought that this one got contaminated. Apparently not.

Strangebrewer (901) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2011
bottle from Monthly Beer Club. Poured hazy orange with a receding head. Spicey aroma of cloves and ginger. Light texture, a bit watery. Caramel malt flavour, some brown sugar and apple cider. Kinda bland.
