Bottle. Golden color, hazy. Soft herbal yeasty notes and orange in the aroma and flavor. Slightly alcoholic, in spite of the low ABV. Wheat. Somewhat disappointing.

Bottle. Pours unclear blonde, good white, stable head. Smell is bit yeasty. Taste is bit bitter, very grainy, clear yeasty notes. Rather high cabro, sharp, dry finish. Ok beer. Not really intense, or different. Has something off in the bitterness, but perhaps its just some kind of yeast I am not a fan of.

330 ml, bottle. Appearance: Hazy golden , with big white head, a bit thin but with good retention. Leaving medium lacing. Aroma: Malts, yeast light fruity notes emerging from the back and some alcohol as it warms up. Taste: Moderate sweet and bitter,, Quite Fruity,( peaches, apricots) some l floral notes and some yeast and alvcohol in the finish. Bitterness at the start and aftertaste. Medium t body, Above average carbonation, but still ok for the body. Decent but the Alpaide (dark ) is much better. This just a standard Belgian Strong Ale.

Alone at home. Hazy goldblond colored beer with large diminishing white head and no carbonation visible. Yeasty herby aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is sweet fruited ending bitter dry.

Launched in 2010 as the blonde counterpart of Alpaïde and tasted under the name "Cuvée van de Generaal". Nice lacing, off-white, mousse-like head, colour peach blonde with lively sparkling. Nose gets ’exotic’ fruits like pineapple, mango, banana and orange, flowery hops, caramel, white bread, soap, but unfortunately also considerable DMS (cooked vegetable). Taste fruity, soft, citrussy, relatively sharp carbonation, minerals, caramelly and bready malt sweetness, finish quite strongly hop bitter with some warm, but not astringent alcohol. Not a bad triple, just a shame they haven’t cooked it longer, which would probably solve the DMS issue (which, in my experience, was less pronounced in the first batches than it is now).

Stubby bottle 330 ml, at home. Poured into a tulip. ABV 8.5% Hazy golden orange on the body, with big chunks of yeast floating around it even.Big qhite head, a bit thin but with good retention. Medium kacing keft on the glass. Aroma is malty, with yeast, manure, light fruity notes emerging from the back. Taste is much more fruity, with peaches, apricots, floral notes quite bitter too with the bitterness carrying on on the aftertaste for quite long, a bit of bubblegum too. Medium thin body, highly carbonated. Much better than what I expected, very good actually.

Bit boring Belgian blond beer, every Belgian brewer thinks he needs to brew one of these.
