4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 20, 2011 33cl bottle
Black color with a red shine and a white head.
Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, slight fruity yeast esters and hop. The flavor starts with a great flavor of coffee, roasted barley and dark chocolate and then finishes in a hoppy finish which is quite dry and has some hints of coffee in it.
Very tastefull beer!
Great lacing. First aroma is espresso, chocolate becomes more sensible. Flavor is very dark chocolate with an espresso finish, slight alcohol touch, raisins, flavor is slightly more sweet then the last one but the final dry touch is still there, slight hoppy notes in there, mainly espresso dryness. . Fat body, awesome drinkability.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Near black colored with little beige head. Rich chocolaty aroma with grains, syrup and some raisinny-plummy sweetness, thin alcohol here too, I like this. Medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with chocolate still dominating in start, roastiness and plums here too. Aftertaste dries with hops with roastiness, mild alcohol here. Maybe not in full balance with slightly thin body, still ok beer.

Draught at One Pint Pub, thanks TBone! Dark murky brown, tiny beige yet firm head. Nose is caraway, candi sugar, sweet rye bread, some roasty notes, very sweet and spicy. Flavor has lots of yeastiness, alcohol, cellar & caraway, roasty maltiness and little menthol in the finish. A bit stuffy and drier than the aroma, the sweetness would fit in here. Interesting if anything.
