COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tart peppery bite of a farmhouse saison meets the juicy, zesty splendor of two grove-grown classics: Ruby Red grapefruits and Meyer lemons.

Draught 5/24/14 and bottle shortly thereafter
Hazy, nearly cloudy bright orange with some rusty hues thrown in and an off-white head that is small and quickly fades to cover.
Heavy, heavy citrus in the nose. Sweet, sugary ruby red grapefruit dominates, while the malts seem too sweet as well. Light citric acids try to break up and lighten things, but it’s an uphill battle.
The flavor is all over the place. Perhaps not suffering from underattenuation as much as from a very muddled nature and extremely loose, yeast or adjunct-laden dullness. There’s an unmistakeable orange juice flavor up front that threatens to dominate the beer, masking the beer character. Some light carbonation attempts to disperse this, but moderately sweet malts further complicate things, doing nothing to help ameliorate the fruit sweetness. As well, the texture is loosened by the undercarbonation and whatever is floating in suspension. Ends with more citrus, still on the sweet side. Very, very rough around the edges, to say the least.

Bottle thanks to my boy Brandon, thanks man! Pour is cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is light funky and earthy with notes of orange, hay, and light spice. Flavor is lightly tart up front with more lemon than grapefruit coming through. Also earthy and rich with more citrus throughout. Well-balanced and really nice. Solid stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Grapefruit bouquet. Souring grapefruit and lemon highlights. Average body and mouthfeel.

Bottle thanks to WillRunForBeer. Very cloudy dull orange pour with a small bubbly head that fades to a nice ring. Aroma is basically grapefruit juice with a hint of lemon. Tastes like drinking fresh squeezed grapefruit and lemon juice. Doesn’t even really taste like beer. I would’ve guessed this was 3% abv. Mouthfeel is full and almost pulpy. Very juicy, sour, and tart. Interesting beer but I think they went a little overboard on the amount of grapefruit and lemon in this. Fun to drink a sample. I’m glad I opened this with others around.

Cloudy gold, fluffy white head. Pretty damn awful beer. Straight up mop water. Old, used dirty mop water. Maybe a hint of rotten grapefruit. Horrid.
