2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle share at Chriso’s. Hazy orange, still, small foamy white head. Aroma is pissy, metallic, floral. Body is light, tingly carbonation, foamy. Taste is dry, dental rinse, wheaty. Thin, medicinal flavour. A bit on the weird side.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750 ml bottle with a pen on date of 4-30-14, shared by Willrunforbeer. Honestly the aroma is like lemon floor cleaner. Medicinal and chemical. Yeah, I could mop my floor with this liquid.
Chemical lemons, sour grapefruit and hints of dusty yeast. This bottle was held entirely to long. I’m grading on a slight curve because it still isn’t a drain pour and somewhat drinkable. I’m guessing fresh this was a different brew. But perhaps not.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from bottle dated 4/30/14 thanks Willrunforbeer. Nice golden color with an effervescent white head. Aromas of funk fruit hints of caramel. Taste is soapy artificial lemon akin to floor cleaner. Back to the drawing board.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at Pre-GBBF Shindig 2015. It pours hazy dirty gold with a thick white head. The nose is soft, juicy, tangy, salted lemon, sweet sugar, limeade and earth. The taste is crisp, tart, tangy, limeade, lemon sherbet, pepper, toasted bread, quite grainy, cereal and weird soapy floral vibe that overtakes the other flavours after a while. Medium body and moderate carbonation. One sip in and I thought this was OK, then it became far too soapy. Not so sure on this one.

1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
8th August 2015
Pre GBBF tasting at Chris and Ruth’s. Hazy gold beer, decent off white head. Palate is light and smooth, decent fine carbonation. Trace of tangy fruits and then massive soap and detergent. Light finish. Some would say this is not infected but really what else can it be? Awful!

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught 5/24/14 and bottle shortly thereafter
Hazy, nearly cloudy bright orange with some rusty hues thrown in and an off-white head that is small and quickly fades to cover.
Heavy, heavy citrus in the nose. Sweet, sugary ruby red grapefruit dominates, while the malts seem too sweet as well. Light citric acids try to break up and lighten things, but it’s an uphill battle.
The flavor is all over the place. Perhaps not suffering from underattenuation as much as from a very muddled nature and extremely loose, yeast or adjunct-laden dullness. There’s an unmistakeable orange juice flavor up front that threatens to dominate the beer, masking the beer character. Some light carbonation attempts to disperse this, but moderately sweet malts further complicate things, doing nothing to help ameliorate the fruit sweetness. As well, the texture is loosened by the undercarbonation and whatever is floating in suspension. Ends with more citrus, still on the sweet side. Very, very rough around the edges, to say the least.
