3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I love supporting these guys, especially since they make great, local beer. This one is no exception - solid use of Bretts in parallel with a heavy use of pineapple ensures this is a refreshing yet still tart and somewhat spicy ale. Pours a deep yellowish orange with light tan lacings that dissipates quickly; tangy, pineapple nose blended with grass, wheat, and other dry fruit; body is tangy, fruity, and light, perhaps a bit too light though - definitely a spring-into-summer type ale; finish is pineapple and slightly tart.

Taster at the source. Pours cloudy yellow gold with a pure white head. Aroma is brett, dried pineapple. Taste is light and wheaty, with brett, faint pineapple, cider, a touch of pepper in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Big cork pop. Pool water, bright citrus, pineapple, Brett, saison-y. A bit of chlorine. Finishes lactic, yeasty, not particularly clean.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a rich golden color with two fingers of slightly sticky foam. The nose has some bright sweet pineapple right upfront that slowly fades into a horseblanket slightly nail polish astringency. The palate follows the nose with some fruity yeast esters, pineapple sweetness and acetone... slightly rubbery. Not feeling this one. Very disjointed but I applaude the concept.
