Excellent Berliner Weisse. Fizzy carbonation on a yellow pour. Aroma is lemon, citrus, light crackers. Very effervescent and refreshing. Flavor is similar with a nicely balanced tartness. Great beer.

Pours a hazy golden color. Really pretty in the glass. Ginger and lemongrass are prominent in the nose and palate. Delightfully tart. Good depth in the flavors. Highly enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Ginger, lemon and white grapes coalesce in this personable Sour Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-What there was of a head quickly dissipates into the hazy blond.
-Drinkability is high even though the alcohol is higher than expected for this type of beer.
-The tiny bubbles could have taken more space in the mouthfeel.

Hazy yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has a great mix of ginger, lemongrass and wheat. The flavor is lightly tart with some great lemon and ginger notes up front, as well as a nice amount of wheat. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice beer.

Citronnelle, pelures de lime et une certaine verdure houblonnée. Belle finale sèche légèrement acidulé. Buvabilité brutale.

750 thanks to WillRunForBeer. Plier cork then bottle opener cork when cork broke. Damn that was in there! Tart. Apple. Lemon. Slightly funky nose with a sharp tart bite. Very tasty even if not completely dry.

Bottle @ GT’s house. Thanks. Milky yellow pour with a white head. Ginger and lemongrass dominate the nose. Lactic sourness, yeast, and grass. Maybe a hint of white vinegar. Mild malts. Flavor is really sour. Lots of lemon and lactic sourness. Yogurt, mild malt, and lemongrass. Big time ginger flavor, too.

750 ml bottle acquired via trade. Opened after all that FoBAB Database work. Pours a decent to firmer hazed golden straw hue, a darker middle with brighter yellow straw glow on the edges. Cakey bright stark white head atop stays as a decent layer, full with ok stick around and lacing. Aromas are tart, potently lactic zing with lemon, citric acidity and lemongrass, earthy and rind feel with faint ginger. Bready malts, straw, and yogurt. Nice stuff, some vibrant aromas work well. Initial is a light quite drinkable beer, small body with a big bright lactic zing right off the bat. Lemon juice, citrus rind, lemongrass. Bigger sour zip, some juicy lemon. Middle is is some more yogurt, gentle bready malt, flaked wheat, and straw. A nice firm lemony lactic zing really keeps going well. The lemongrass enhances the flavor, a bit synergistic for me. The gignger is just subtle into the backend but that lemongrass really works well with an already pretty good Berliner with potency. Finish is tangy, sour, nice lingering lactic and citric acidity. Tasty and crushable. Perhaps a bit intense for some but I really think this Berliner offers pop and some memorable features. Tasty.

(750ml bottle batch 12, bottles 7.8.13) cloudy light gold, wispy white soapy bubbles. Nose of lemongrass, herbal, agave, honey, field greens. Taste of lemon, vinegar, lemongrass, field greens, this is nice, but the vinegar takes away from it overall for me. Most of my tasting group loved it.

Cloudy lemon color. Bright and fizzy; lemongrass isn't subtle. Ginger is held at bay, thankfully, and damn is this good. Big fan, even with the high carb.

Bottle thanks to GT. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with minimal head. Big expressive nose of lemongrass, menthol, camphor, lemon zest, and ginger. The palate is a bit salty, showing flavors of lemonade, fresh cut herbs, limes, and tangy ginger. Clean finish and nicely tart.
