Excellent Berliner Weisse. Fizzy carbonation on a yellow pour. Aroma is lemon, citrus, light crackers. Very effervescent and refreshing. Flavor is similar with a nicely balanced tartness. Great beer.

Bottle thanks to Ernesto. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with minor white head. Aroma is lemon and slight funk. Taste is hugely sour to the point of burning the throat if it goes down wrong. A bit harsh to say the least. As the beer warms the lemon grass really shows itself more than just acetic sour.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2014 Bottle... This beer rocks!… Cloudy straw-colored ale with no head. The bouquet offers light notes of funk, ginger root, lemon grass and vanilla. Medium to full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is hugely SOUR and FRUITY – notes of apricot and/or peach. Short, tart, clean finish. A world class refresher. Big thanks to landhoney for the pour!

750ml bottle pours a light gold with a small off white head. Honey and bitter lemon fruit taste.

poured alight cloudy golden yellow color with aromas of light lemons, a touch of spice and some sour wheat. Flavors followed suit, light and crisp, a solid beer to enjoy in the heat.

Bottle @ His Great Return Tasting. Cheers to Leighton! Gold pour with a tiny white head. Plenty of herbs and lemon. Some ginger and unwashed tree root. The taste is extremely unbalanced. Massively acetic and overbearing. Vinegar, warhead candies. Little else is detectable. Strong carbonation, light body. Overall, something’s amiss. A letdown after the dizzying heights of the ever Weiss.

$12 for the 750 mL bottle purchased from the source yesterday afternoon. Consumed on an invigoratingly sublime 43°F partly clear day, with my annoyingly frantic dog by my side out on the porch. Read "Batch# 18. Bottled on: 10/1/13" which had been written in felt pen on left-side of label. 5.0% abv, displayed on bottom. To oversized snifter, it pours a partly cloudly tangerine pale yellow with which a quickly diminishing off-white head 1½ fingers in length stood. Gradually depleted to just fizz and bubbles out on top after two minutes of let sitting. Aromas of lemonade, sidewalk chalk, bird feed, newspaper, Bermuda sorrel, autumnal leaves, spearmint, cardboard, and wood pulp. Tastes of everything mentioned above with the addition of wool, crushed aspirin, stale vanilla skyr, unfiltered pond water, and wild yeast. Acidic, tart, sweet, and buttery. All the flavors appear to be in the right place, but this is unquestionably a tad too strong for the Berliner style. I did get heartburn from this, but it was still enjoyable. My dog absolutely adored this stuff... I thought it was alright. I’m a big-time fan of the style, but I was on the fence with this specific Night Shift Weisse. Didn’t break any new ground for me. Would have again, but was kind of a bummer.

Bottle split at the Jack is back tasting, thanks to Leighton, 06/03/14. Hazed yellow/orange with moderate off white spotting atop the glass. Nose is a big acid blast, honey, vinegar, old curtains, earwax smeared on a train window to warm in the sunlight, citric, bitter fruit. Taste comprises big acidic vibes, Sarsons vinegar, honey tang, more acid, bitter citrics. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tarte acidic rush in the close. This ain’t no Lambaek wants blood orange, but it ain’t pretty - pretty high on the throat scrapes! Presumably a rogue bottle and LKS - you’ll do anything for £7.50 !

Jack is back tasting at Bruce’s. Thanks to Leighton. Cloudy gold beer, residual white head. Dry airy palate. Acid dominates, some floral lemongrass is discernable but the level of acidity is physically painful on the burning swallow. Light dry finish. Drain pour, or if you the Legend that is Leighton, a half bottle chug!

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2014 Bottle shared in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours pale, hazy yellow with a foamy white head. The nose has tangy lemon. Light sweet flavor and heavily acidic, some tart lemons, grass. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Burning acidic finish, more lemons, notes of plastic. A bit harsh and aggressive. I still managed to down a half bottle.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2014 Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy gold with a small white head. The nose is fresh, barnyard, lemon peel, lemongrass, lemon sherbets, vinegar and candy. The taste is harsh, massive acidity, straight lemon juice, sherbet, vinegar, wood and more acid. Intense lemony acid action. Damn it burns..... Aggressive stuff!
