Orange brown pour, foamy off white head. Aroma is inteResting; a lot of yeast, raisin, cherry, vanilla, fruit. Flavor is cherry vanilla and yeast. Super sweet.

Draft at the brewery. Pours lightly unclear gold with a creamy, white head. Definitely some vanilla in the nose, also bread, a bit of candi sugar. Medium sweet flavor with lots of bready malts, Belgiany phenols, bubblegum. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Sweet finish with more sugary bread, toasty toffee, some dry biscuits, more oily vanilla. Nice stuff. Fairly novel.

Taster at the source. Pours yellow brown with a white head. Aroma is cramel and clove. Flavor is on the lighter end of what I would expect in a trappist. Wheat backbone, some clove, some fruity esters, dry finish.

Cloudy light caramel color pour. Interesting nose. Funky Belgian spices with some vanilla in there, which seems odd. Taste is pretty good, but certainly unusual. Hoppy vanilla and a Belgian spice that ligers with some bitterness in the finish.

Sampled from a 0.75l corked bottle @ Top Hops (BA) Bottle Share. This is a cloudy glowing orange looking one. It has a lovely big lacing off-white top and a really fresh hoppy, Belgian yeasty nose. I get traces of some faint berries and it’s light tart and quite nice. In the mouth it has a lively small bubbled carbonation level and a general oily mouthfeel. Good flavors. It’s near candy sweet with yeast, red sweet apples that feels really balanced. Ends in a soft dry finish. 15.06.2013

750 ml bottle, corked & caged. Batch 18. Pours a cloudy amber hue with a two finger off white head. Glad I used a Trappist glass. Candied fruit aroma with Belgian yeast and a hint of vanilla, all on the subdued side. Ever so slightly sweet flavor featuring light fruit, apple & pear come to mind, with light vanilla. Just a hint of Belgian funkiness. Light bodied with a ton of carbonation. Finishes dry.

Bottle courtesy of Jay at Paul’s July 2013 tasting. Pours a light ambe body with thin lacing. Aroma is malt, spice, banana and light bitter hop. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of grain, malt, spice, clove, banana, bitter hop and light vanilla.

Pours cloudy amber with a thick off white head.
Smells strongly of spices with a hint of vanilla.
Tastes different than I expected. The vanilla is disappointingly subtle. The strongest flavor is spice with some bitterness.
Mouthfeel-Crisp and slightly carbonated.
Overall-Decent beer. I had hoped for more vanilla.

Bottle that I took to Paul’s housewarming tasting. Pours a lightly hazed amber orange with a medium to large sized white head. Fuzzy musk with a bit of funk and yeast. Musky, warm yeast and tart vibrant musk with a bit of pungent acidity. Musky, faintly acidic, warm musk. Tasty, chewy wheat, long funky banana infused yeast.
