COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three distinct Trappist yeasts – one earthy, one fruity, and one spicy – combine to produce the unique personality of this Belgian-style pale ale. Zesty hops, gentle malts, and a few vanilla beans provide a crisp, smooth profile, while the trio of yeast strains ferment the beer into an elegant harmony of flavors. From chaos, comes Trifecta.

Perhaps I sat on my bottle too long, because I didn’t really get anything resembling what I expected. It would be hard to describe the flavors, something like perhaps what I imagine burnt granola might taste like, but overall the beer, while not undrinkably awful, was certainly not "belgian pale ale with vanilla beans" tasting.

This seasonal beer is unique and crafty, but very satisfying and well rounded. A beer that really has different facettes. A drink worthy beer of craft from Everett in Mass. Us.

Can. Pours hazy amber/orangish with off white head. Aroma is sweet malty with the expected Belgian aroma. Taste is sweet malty banana clove vanilla with a bitter hoppy finish. It’s pretty good but i’m not a big Belgian beer fan.

Thanks to Tristan for the can. Pours a hazy orange with a thick off white head. Smooth medium body malt taste with light hop bitterness, Belgian yeast notes like clove and hints of vanilla. Aroma is Belgian yeast clove, but little else. Just ok.

Got in a BIF from tasterschoice62. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/16/2016. Pours hazy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of apricot, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, banana, peppercorn, clove, light bubblegum, honey, wheat, toasted biscuit, light vanilla, herbal, floral, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, earthy hops, and light vanilla notes; with good strength. Taste of big apricot, orange peel, pear, apple, white grape, banana, peppercorn, clove, light bubblegum, honey, wheat, toasted biscuit, light vanilla, herbal, floral, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Moderate herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, banana, peppercorn, clove, honey, wheat, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, earthy hops, and light vanilla flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance and minimal astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness that increases through the glass, and gets slightly astringent. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth crisp, and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balance mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, earthy hops, and light vanilla flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
