Bottle. Dark and malty, slightly sour nose. Oily texture, muddy in parts. Raw tasting, tangy and sharp. Mediciney, but not in a good way. I understand the poor reviews in here now. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared by mick at the Kyoto beer festa. Dark brown pour with a light beige head. Malty sweet nose. Very malty sweet almost spicy with a bit of sourness to it. Ok but fairly average.

Bottle from a grocery store. Aromas of nuts (lots) and caramel; taste is sweet, long lasting.

Clean looking brown body. Foamy (almost rocky) head that vanished completely. Faint grassy hop aroma, some beans and sour lemon. Taste was not a treat, unless you like flat diet coke. Some fruit, but mostly I got grains and a long bitter tea finish. There was something metallic, astringent about it. Palate was lifeless. Ive only poured out one or two beer in my day, but I just couldnt find anything in this worth saving. Yuck.

Medium brown color, medium head with large bubbles. Seems to have lots of carbonation. Slightly sweet aroma, rather faint. Some caramel and fruit. Flavor of burnt brown sugar, sweet, burnt, not very strong in flavor either. Some darkish fruits in there as well as caramel. Really quite boring. Slightly reminiscent of a lower strength dark Scotch ale, but not a very good version of one. Flat tasting as well, even though there were so many bubbles. Not a very nice beer.
