750 ml bottle as Nikl-Bräu Bourbon Bock 2013. #365/400. BB 23/04/2018. Thanks to Timo A! Clear amber colour with a tiny off-white head. Jägermeister and cough medicine in the aroma. The flavour is berries, tartness, herbs and some red wine. No good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.75 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Dark amber color. Pungent smoky and oaky aroma with Islay type peat smoke, tar, vanilla. Sweet, tart, tarry, peaty and smoky flavor. Somewhat surprisingly, tastes more like a Islay whisky than bourbon, lots of peat, iodine and tar. Interesting to analyze bot not so tasty.

750 ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Aroma is very interesting; strong tar, birch, spruce and grass. Flavour of strong bready malts, loads of tar, syrup, cinnamon, red berries, birch, spruce, herbs and mint. Medium bodied, oily mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Barrel is there, but not too strong. Nice one and really unique.

75 cl bottle @ Timo A.
Pours hazy mahogany color with a small head. Aroma is very strong with tar, some peat also, some clove, spices and caramel malts. Flavor of ripe fruits, caramel malts, some tar, smoky notes, some bourbon and wood. Somewhat sourish palate, dry finish. Quite overwhelming tar on the nose, the taste is not bad either. Not your typical doppelbock.

75 cl bottle @ Timo A. #3661400, BBE 23.04.2018
Aroma is odd with tar, some juniper notes and tart berries. Also some smoke, peaty notes and vanilla. Flavour has strong herbal notes, bourbon and spices. Also some citrus, woody notes and tart berries. Finishes with weak whisky sting. Reminds me of some overspicy christmas ales.
