3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 rauchbierlover (129) - ITALY - FEB 12, 2012
Hazy golden body with a big persistent white head. Grassy aroma. Taste is malty, grassy again. The sweet given by malt is well balanced by a bitter/dry finish. Very drinkable and refreshing
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MartinT (6150) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 1, 2011
My Bottom Line :
This cushy unfiltered Helles seduces with herbal, spicy hops whipped into plush pils malts for a most süffig brew.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A creamy head of foam decorates the cloudy blond.
-This was not unlike Feierling’s InselHopf in its pillowy mouthfeel, soft flavor profile and spicy, citrusy hop angles.
-This is the kind of brew you don’t need to think of; it’s flavorful enough for you to want to keep drinking it all evening long AND it’s supremely drinkable.
-The flavor profile is balanced from aroma to finish.
On tap at the brewery gasthof.

I saw it advertised as Zwickl-Pils. This is a light-colored, slightly hazy brew that packs a beautiful hop flavor and aroma.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Maria (7805) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2011
From tap at the brewpub. It’s slightly hazy, golden with a creamy, white head, and the aroma has notes of fresh baked bread. The slightly sweet flavour is rather dry with notes of fresh baked bread, flower and biscuits, and the finish is dry. It’s a wonderful, straightforward and well-balanced helles.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - NOV 17, 2010
(swing top bottle) Hazy, yellow colour with a big and blond foamy head. Yeasty grainy malty aroma with citric and slightly herbal hops, accompanied by a touch of barnyard. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a present carbonation. Grainy pale malt-character with a yeasty and subtle fruity touch; medium-dry grainy and milky sweet-bitter and slightly hoppy finish. A tad sweet but easy to drink. 14.XI.10

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ungstrup (22911) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 6, 2010
Bottled. A golden beer with a thick white head. The aroma has strong notes of sweet malt - but also with notes of artificial sweetener - wonder where that comes from. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as lighter notes of straw, and still an artificial shine over it. The body is light.
