(Bue sur place): Pain de seigle grillé, mélasse, noisettes et une touche d’aluminium un peu gênante à l’appréciation. Pas si mal.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Catsup and armpit sweat and chemicals and dirty hot dog boil water. Possibly one of the worst smells ever, very vomit-like and fatty with notes of low grade meat. Armpit / Limburger / soiled clothing smell. Ones are not a stretch here. I’m unfamiliar with this kind of infection. Day old ketchup and french fry plate and garbage bin full of food stuff. Literally gagged while smelling it. Sweet and acidic. The very definition of foul beer. No doubt it’s not intended to be like this and might even been nice but I rate em as I see em and this bottle is 0.5 level

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery Gasthof, 20 July 2012. Brilliant, hazy orange (reminded me of Thatcher’s Cheddar Valley) with a bog, off-white head. Some fruity sweetness, grainy malts, caramel and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line :
Toasted malts and wooden hops gel in this smooth Dunkel, effortlessly moving into a balanced finish of lean bready sweetness and hop bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam decorates the misty amber.
-The fluffy mouthfeel is very comfortable.
-Subtle fruity edges give depth.
-Drinkability is quite high, which is appreciated. This is another very solid offering from this new Franconian player.
On tap at the brewery gasthof.

A nice unfiltered dunkel. This one is a bit lighter in color, but still full on flavor.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It’s hazy, dark-orange towards copper with a creamy head, The aroma has notes of malt, caramel and light fruit, and the same notes I find in the moderately sweet flavour, that has a dry finish. A nice one.
