Montenegrin macro lager with medium thick, irregular, off-white head retaining quite well over a cristal clear, attractively deep golden blonde beer, cristal clear with vivid sparkling. Aroma of sugar corn, soggy sandwiches, damp cloth, breakfast cereals, industrial apple juice touch, dry straw, wet paper - in all, not the worst aroma thinkable for the style, and no sign of that awful lightstruck effect in spite of the green bottle (must have been stored completely dark). Neutral in overall flavour profile, with very light and watery body (also since for this particular style, it seems a bit undercarbonated), with grainy and very lightly bready malt sweet character in the middle, a certain metallic ’sound’ and, unexpectedly, a clearly noticeable grassy and floral hop bitterness in the end, stronger than average in a standard pale lager, drying a bit and lending a bit of body to the finish. I had way worse pale lagers than this, if the lightstruck effect can be avoided, this is quite alright for its particular style - a style which, of course, always remains bland, simple and monotonous.

500ml can (thanks Pitsu & Co). Clear golden color. Tiny size, white head, stays as a ring. Cardboard, sweet, apples, malty in aroma. OMG! Apples, cardboard, malty, hop extract in taste. Malty and papery in aftertaste. Typical macro-horror. Never again!

500ml can - thanks Marduk and the posse at tiong’s
Nasty sweet corny aroma. Some pineapple. Papery palate - dries the mouth, just tastes dry and metallic. Pale straw, brief head. Sweet watery cardboardy finish. A real mess.

500ml can

Pours clear golden with a small head. Aroma of cardboard, stuffy sweetness and hints of malts. Taste is sweet, stuffy and cardboardy. Finish is unpleasant and messy. Quite bad.

330 ml bottle. Bought in a random supermarket in Belgrad. Usual pale golden color with low white head and high carbonation. Grass smell, some malt..Waterish, but in the cool way; the Corona-cool way you may say. I imagine myself drinking this is a beach day. No a good beer, but covers it’s prupose.

Nice and refreshing brew. Does not stick out or anything, but well worth to quench your thirst.

500ml brown, not green, bottle from an ethnic supermarket going out of business. About to start fasting for a colonoscopy, so let’s add another former chunk of Yugoslavia to my beer map. First, I have to give it points for looking like a decent, fizzy yellow beer; a little while then head but the nice sub column of bubbles in a class. A little skunk under the cap, then some corn adjunct alcohol once it’s poured. I will day that is pretty agreeable on the tongue. Maize, which is right on the American label, at least stys in the background. Label also admits to caramel coloring, which does make it a more attractive golden color, but was it necessary?

Clear pale yellow, white lacing foam head. Earthy aroma and taste, barley dry aftertaste. Guess would taste much better when in country, in summer. (Velp 201510)
