Zarkam (421) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 17, 2014
330ml bottle from a supermarket in Kotor. Dark brown nearly black colour, medium rocky mostly vanishing beige head, hardly any lacing. Heavilt malty rosaty aroma of dark bread, hay and a bit of coffee and caramel, moderate spicy and resiny hops and a bit of alcohol. Taste is longish and initially slightly sweet and acidic turning into a lightly bitter and mineral finish with an alcoholic feel. Full body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Had quite a few stronger dark beers that weren’t as boozy as this one, still enjoyable and significantly more character than most of the stuff I had in ex-Yugoslavia.

A fairly good dark but rather mild beer. I strongly recommend it as one of the best beers coming from the Balkans. :)

Pours a very deep dark colour with a slightly more head than usual dark lagers. Smell is hoppy but nothing extra. Taste is pleasant but with a lot of carbonatioin. A feeling of "being a heavy beer" quickly turns up, afyer drinking a 1 dcL or two. Overall, not a bad beer. A good dark lager
