[@ Öl och whiskymässan, Malmö] Brun med ytters lite skum. Kraftfull söt fruktig aroma. Väldigt söta smaker, tydlig beska på slutet. En riktigt bra Barley Wine.

AROMA: bread, cereal, barnyard, APPEARANCE: brown, clear, minimal head, TASTE: medium bitterness, light sweetness, PALATE: medium body, sticky, soft carbonation, bitter, long finish, OVERALL: really close to a Belgian barley wine, alcohol masterly hidden, good bitter finish after a slightly sweet start.

Dark amber color. Aroma of caramel, fruit, almond, chocolate. Sweet taste, finishes with some bitterness. I really like it but the body is kinda thin for the style.

Rich in every aspect, this is close to perfection! [short review due to it coming from my backlog]

Really harsh in flavor and aroma but still okay to drink. The aftertaste what okay and left for a while. Severe beer I think. Maybe not so good but not completely disgusting like. Of course you should try this.

Om det är något som jag gillar mer än en barley wine så är det en lagrad barley wine. Kroppen är stabil och ölen upplevs som len och välbalanserad, smaken bär toner av karamell, torkad frukt och malt.

Bottle. Age unknown but it looks like the one in the picture at this site. No head when poured. Thin lacing...almost cirrus cloud-like formations as it’s sipped away. Golden in color in my snifter...a few bits of light sediment accumulating at the bottom of the glass. The taste comes on in fine British barley wine style -- malts up front...raisins...pepper...light hops...yum. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too thin on the palate for my taste. Almost like sipping water on the backend. Too bad cause this might otherwise have been one of the best British barley wines out there for the price. The "thiness" of the backend killed it for me. Not sure if I’ll buy this one again.
