Bottle. Age unknown but it looks like the one in the picture at this site. No head when poured. Thin lacing...almost cirrus cloud-like formations as it’s sipped away. Golden in color in my snifter...a few bits of light sediment accumulating at the bottom of the glass. The taste comes on in fine British barley wine style -- malts up front...raisins...pepper...light hops...yum. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too thin on the palate for my taste. Almost like sipping water on the backend. Too bad cause this might otherwise have been one of the best British barley wines out there for the price. The "thiness" of the backend killed it for me. Not sure if I’ll buy this one again.

Fruity aroma, balanced with caramel and hints of raisins. Caramel, peppermint cadycane, and bread taste. Well hidden alcohol taste. Not that heavy. Nice, subtle bitterness in the aftertaste.

Barley Wine ale zbyt alkoholowe w smaku, zapach za to przedni owocowy, biszkoptowe, w smaku jezyny karmel wino porto oraz wanillia. Finisz to alkoholowe cieplo i nieco za slodkawe. Bez osadu koloru bursztynu ciemnego z lekkim blaskiem czerwieni, piana srednio niewielka i szybko opadajaca.

It poured a deep reddish color with a minimal head. The aroma was extremely sweet with some bready malts. It had a medium mouthfeel with a taste of sweet caramel, sugar and some crustiness. Decent.

Danky brighter red wood, like drop of milk poured in, lighter amber glint. Sticky caramel head. Treacle, oily mouthfeel. Brash coppery booze and sandy toffee. Very white spirit boozy finish, not as oxidised as I’d kinda thought and probably hoped.

Bottle, November in December Tasting.

Wonderful rich thick caramel flavour, sweet notes in general really fruity, a great warming drink, it does not hide its alcohol level but it also does not blow you away, a good, good beer
