COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nils Oscar Brown Ale är en rödbrun överjäst öl med rik maltkaraktär. Den har en lätt knäckig ton från karamellmalt, en rostad avslutning samt balanserad beska från de båda humlesorterna Fuggles och Amarillo. Nils Oscar Brown Ale passar utmärkt till mustiga grytor, grillat kött och även sallad. Naturligtvis går det alldeles utmärkt att njuta av en Nils Oscar Brown Ale utan något som helst till. Det kan hända att en vacker utsikt och en skön fåtölj kan förbättra stunden något, men det ska vi låta vara osagt. Drick och njut!

Clear mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma had hard roasted malt, hops, caramel and chocolate. Flavor had hard roasted malt, grapefruity hops, pine and caramel. Finished dry and bitter.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, straw, and over ripe fruit, leading to a fruity finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours a clear orangey brown with an off-white head leaving a little lacework. Some nuts and hard roast malts in the nose. Medium body, roasted malts and a solid hopping in the finish. Well made. 080910

Bottle from Systembolaget. Beige foam that goes down fast to a thick lace. Malty aroma from chocolate and semi dark malts. Malty but not too sweet with a good bitternes. A good brown ale.

Red/brown color, beige head Malty aroma, some chocolate and milk, with notes of the typical NO-hops. Malty flavor, toffe, quite hoppy after a while and with a nutty finish.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2010 Bottle. Dark brown/red with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, Christmas spices, some tropical fruits. Taste of roasted malts, caramel, fruit, nuts, burnt sugar, some spices, with a bitterness in the finish. Medium body.

Bottled. Clear nut brown, fair sized head. Floral nose with raspberry and chocolate. Mid sweet with light body and fairly clean mouthfeel. Dried out by grass and salt. A touch of bread, but the roasty malt flavours are quite diminished. Fairly low bitterness.

Bottle. Reddish brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma: malty, earthy, lightly fruity, lightly smoky. Flavor: malty, caramel/toffee, nuts, dark bread, earthy and lightly citrusy hops, typical Nils Oscar smoky house character. Dry finish with noticeble bitterness.
