Flaska @ OT 2012. Småtrevlig doft med balanserade brända toner samt litt rök. Smaken är ganska lätt, balanserade fattoner och tydlig lakritskaraktär.

750ml bottle. Pours a really dark brown, with a brown head. Roasted, malty aroma, licorice, wood, juniper, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, ashes, tar. Off-dry, full body, high bitterness, creamy CO2. Roasted, spicy, malty taste, licorice, ashes, earth, juniper, wood, coffee, tannins. This is the better of the two versions, the wood is better integrated, the mouthfeel is smoother. Good stuff. Bottle at OT. It poured a very dark brown liquid bordering on black. Spicy smell with juniper, whisky and dark malts. Similar taste, fairly dry and boozey, actually a bit to boozey for my taste.

gyllenbock (8026) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 31, 2012
Bottle at Oliver Twist, August 2012. Almost black with a medium tan head. Unexpectedly easy to drink. Not that much whiskey in this one. Licorice, light roasted malt and some peat. Also notes of alcohol.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Near black, beige head. Earthy aroma of raw licorice with some fruity whisky. Medium-full bodied with fairly soft mouthfeel. Aniseed and raw licorice, slightn peat. Subtle whisky character. Warming finish with low bitterness. Nicely drinkable for a BA Imperial stout.
