Murky dark brown pour with some dark cream head. Some roast coffee and malt aromas. Smooth with a small amount of carbonation. Roasty, mocha, a little sweet malt, coffee. Clean finishing. Med/full bodied. The lower abv definetely makes this a non-standard Imperial. It’s less edgy, but very drinkable and very good. This might even be a little under rated.

The Dan Journal #241. Tasted 8/26/08. 12oz bottle. Pitch and hazy hued. Bubbled beige head. Coffee malt aromas. Rich and full bodied. Bitter and sticky malts. Coffee and figs. Chocolate and spicy. Long lingering finish. This is stellar!

Bottle. Beige head. Aroma is lovely with lots of chocolate and sweet malt. Mouthfeel a bit thin. Nice sweet taste with lots of coffee and dark chocolate!

small beige head, opac colour. roasted, sweet chocolate, coffee, flavour sweet malty, coffee. After having tried both slottskällans version and this i must say that I am very happy that there are so many great swedish breweries nowadays!

This black pour with a mocha top smells of rich roasted malt with tons of sweet chocolate. Equally sweet in taste but it does not go watery like some stouts. It holds its own with a nice crisp bite. It has a practically non existent finish.
