Commercial Description:
Nils Oscar Imperial Stout is brewed only in a limited edition. Also Nils Oscar Imperial Stout was awarded as the best beer in the world. This beer is brewed with many varieties of hops and malt, nothing saved to make the stout full of character. Imperial Stout is best enjoyed combined with the dessert but works wonderfully with oysters. The Nils Oscar Imperial Stout can be enjoyed today but preferably mature a couple of years.

Nice black of color with a foamy brown head. An aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits and weak liqurice. A flavor with roasted malt, weak chocolate and liqurice, and hints of smoke.

Nice dark pour with a moderate head. Nice full yeast and hops aroma with moderate hop overtones. A smokey licorice dark malt blend that is well balanced. Creamy but not that mouth filling. Sweet, but not cloyingly so. An excellent example of an Imperial stout. Balance gets it exta points. Nice job.

Brewed in Sweden, Pours a very dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is of dark chocolate, malts, and burnt wood. Taste of sweet chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. The mouthfeel is super smooth with a slighty bitter finish. This Imperial stout is recommended......... :)

Bottle. Black with a small beige head. Aromas are dry, earthy roast coffee with soy and smoky notes. Evident alcohol. Flavours are roast malts with sweet chocolate. Peppery with some citrus sourness and hints of salt. Dry and earthy with a bitter finish.

Personal rating number 1800! Bottle. Roast nose with a big nutty component, light smoke and salty dubbel zout licorice. Rich fruity esters as it warms, along with deeper chocolate. Pitch pour with a short, light brown head. Taste is all dark roast, a bit of cocoa and lactose in with light prickly hops. Nuts. Light initial bitterness; thereafter, steadily increasing, rich dark chocolate. Not as salty as expected. Generally a very smooth mouthfeel with a dry smoked aftertaste. Medium-full body and again, really creamy. Faint blackcurrants but no figs or raisins, and really no coffee, either. Alcohol is hidden by a true master - no trace. Smooth, classy, very enjoyable!
