The flavour is quite singular but huge with hints of rust, roasted malts, caramels and roasted coffee. The palete has a creamy and oily feeling to it. The nose is according to my gf a bit similar to burned plastic witch I find quite accurate Syd (892), Waconia, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 27, 2008 Bottle pours black with no head (I tried) - but a tan head if you swirl it in the tulip, and some spot lace. The aroma is coffee, deep malt, very dark chocolate, and the darker of the dark fruits. The flavor is roasty, slightly lactic, oats, chocolate and vanilla as it warms, and really quite nice. The palate is decent enough - thin, but still slick. Overall, I like this well enough. rustychiles (1023), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, chocolate, roasted barley. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, roasted barley. Nice slick mouthfeel. Pretty good imperial stout, but the price will keep me from buying again. JPDIPSO (4894), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2008 Very dark brown color with a taller uniform bubbled, creamy tan head. Dark caramel, hints of roasted malt and dark chocolate with a little gastric juice and grain.Slick smooth and fairly light feel. Flavors are balance and full. Mild roast and dark caramel flavors. Some hint of cola. Mild salt water toffee. Balanced and a brew that tweaks the senses, but doesn’t present a big mind melting performance. NobleSquirrel (1106), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 19, 2008 I’d agree with the foreign stout aspect. Deep brown and almost no head. Nose is rich and chocolatey, with burnt smells and coffee. Body is a bit thin but the taste is really nice. A bit warming. Rich roastiness, some grain and acridity. Pretty nice foreign... | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 18, 2008 Bottle, Stockholm. Pours brown but appears black in the glass. Full, light brown foam lasts well. Aroma hints of prunes and other dark fruits, along with notes of espresso roast and freshly baked brownie. Flavor is awfully complex, with notes of dark fruit, chocolate and coffee. Lots of taste for its size. Great malt expression. Really great beer. docswife (27), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 15, 2008 Firstly, I am not a fan of stouts. My palate is not that sophisticated yet. This poured almost black, with a creamy head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. I get big coffee taste with a hint of chocolate and vanilla. Thin mouth feel and bitter. Not too bad.
