Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 28, 2007 Bottle. Low but lasting light brown head. Pitch black body. Could see aboslutely no light through the beer. Mild coffee aroma and not much else. Guess it was served too cold. Mild smooth and well rounded coffee flavor with a touch of liquorice. Low carbonation. Long coffee aftertaste. BeerBiker (1384), Odense, Denmark Aug 25, 2007 Beatiful black look with the usually notes of tar, coffeechocs, licorice, smoke and a long finish that burns your tongue! Dedollewaitor (3625), Odense, Denmark Aug 24, 2007 Pitch black with brown head. Aroma is wauw... Hops roast coffee & chocolate malts. Filling & smooth - far from thick body though. Bitter roasted flavor. Good lacings. Not very complex, rather simple but very nice indeed! goozen (1061), Leiden, Netherlands Aug 22, 2007 Bottle: Total black imperial swedish stout, very roasted taste and well balanced bitterness.
harrisoni (6704), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 17, 2007 Bottle at GBBF 2007. Black, lasting tan head. Well it’s an impy sout. Powdery intense roasted malt aroma. Powdery/grainy and juicy. Good impy stout. Little thin, but decent finish. Lovely aroma, just a little over carbonated. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Aug 14, 2007 Bottle, GBBF 2007. Black, thin creamy tan head. Nose is malty, christmas cake and brandy tones. Fresh ground coffee. Mouth is fantastic roasted malt, chocolate, milk chocolate. Finishes dark chocolate, dry bitterness. Brilliant. maeib (4683), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Aug 13, 2007 Bottled - GBBF2007. A black coloured stout with a lovely beige head. The aroma is very big with fruity hoppy notes. An inviting aroma with alcohol notes. The taste is roasty and oily. Hoppy and malty. Great alcohol, I am stunned this is only 6.5%. It has lots of body and is very tasty. My beer of the festival. FrankJohansen (3329), Sabro, Denmark Aug 10, 2007 Bottle. Dark brown colour with a huge mostly lasting light brown head. Rich aroma and taste of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate.
