Commercial Description:
Nils Oscar Imperial Stout is brewed only in a limited edition. Also Nils Oscar Imperial Stout was awarded as the best beer in the world. This beer is brewed with many varieties of hops and malt, nothing saved to make the stout full of character. Imperial Stout is best enjoyed combined with the dessert but works wonderfully with oysters. The Nils Oscar Imperial Stout can be enjoyed today but preferably mature a couple of years.

Bottle @ Mondial de la Biere 2009
Appearance: quiet dark , dark brown , bit like coke at edges. Mid light creamy , beige look. 4-
Nose: good , thick roast , dark chocolate , bitterness of dark malts , espresso with shot of vodka. 7+
Flavor/Palate : Superb roast qualities. Smoky ,roasty , toasted barley blend with mocha and tar. All ingredients and flavour elements well put together. Very smooth with soul of Baltic Porter in it. Delicious Old Europe.

Aroma is interesting, chocolates, roasted coffee. Flavor does not uphold those notes, bland watery finish. Not impressed.

Bottle. Pours black with a small ring of tan head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, light roasted coffee, and sweet malt. Flavor is sweet malt with off notes. Vegetal notes abound. Not a fan of this one...not sure what went wrong here. 7/4/6/3/12 (3.2/5)

Bottle. Aroma quite roasty with bitter chocolate, vanilla, and a few too many prunes and such. Flavor brings on some fairly weak coffee with roasted edges, again too many prunes. It’s ok, no idea how fresh this is, though I’d bet not fresh enough.

Very compact and clean package displaying hints of sour chocolate, nuts, and toffee, some dry fruits, brown shuggah, hint of smoke & lingering touch of hops. Blackish brown pour, brown highlights and tan head. Unexpectedly crisp, it slowly insinuates - the finish becomes rather long, the aroma fairly complete and it has a lot to offer with a very different ’classy’ Euro approach compared to the brazen west-coasties. Try one!!

Black color, (of course). Light brown head, wich is rather small. Aroma has notes of dark chocolate and coffe. Taste offers notes af dark Chocolate, coffe, roasted bread, and a little bit of smoked barley. it is a bit acidic. Body is medium. Carbonation is soft. It is an quite ordinery stout, without eny surprises.
