Commercial Description:
Nils Oscar Imperial Stout is brewed only in a limited edition. Also Nils Oscar Imperial Stout was awarded as the best beer in the world. This beer is brewed with many varieties of hops and malt, nothing saved to make the stout full of character. Imperial Stout is best enjoyed combined with the dessert but works wonderfully with oysters. The Nils Oscar Imperial Stout can be enjoyed today but preferably mature a couple of years.

Bottle. Umm - very very nice - a bit of coffee and raisins and handsome head. Good and creamy feel. Also malty and a bit of bitter chocolate. A really really good stout.

330 cL bottle thanks to my friend juha in finland. aroma of burnt oatmeal, coffee, raisins, smoke, chocolate - imagine anything dark that might possibly go into a beer and the aroma has it. smooth licorice and bitter unsweetened chocolate, with a warm malt throughout. medium finish, with an evaporative finish tasting like bitter coffee. if it were "fuller" this would be top-notch, but it’s excellent as it is. thanks juha!

Brown, creamy head with larger bubbles. Black opaque body, possibly slightly brown at the edges. Faint aroma of chocolate and coffee. Sweet, firm taste with smoky notes, rather soft round the edges. Somewhat mild for an imperial stout, even a little watery. No real aftertaste, just dries up. Coffee notes linger. A good imperial stout, but not among the best.

Nice liquorice and coffee aroma, but not overly powerful. Black but not pitch black, nice lacings but light-brown head with low staying-power. Fairly light body for an Imperial Stout. Taste is fine with coffee, chocolate and liquorice notes. Finishes with long roasted aftertaste combined with a nice bitterness.

(33cl bottle, 7% ABV, best by 1/2011?) Medium tan head atop a black body. Nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, milk chocolate, smoke, some roast, light raisin, coffee. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, some raisin, caramel, light coffee. Finishes solidly roasty and lightly smoked. Creamy medium body. Much thinner than an American Impy Stout, but delicious in its own way.

33 cl bottle. Black colour with a fantastic creamy head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and roasted barley. Very smooth aroma. Great flavour of smooth complexity blend with roasted barley. Overall a wonderful and great stout. I have made blindtestes with this and many others imperiel stout several times, conclusion :This is diffently one of the best.
