Nils Oscar Imperial Stout is brewed only in a limited edition. Also Nils Oscar Imperial Stout was awarded as the best beer in the world. This beer is brewed with many varieties of hops and malt, nothing saved to make the stout full of character. Imperial Stout is best enjoyed combined with the dessert but works wonderfully with oysters. The Nils Oscar Imperial Stout can be enjoyed today but preferably mature a couple of years.

Pours very dark brown with no head. Has a pleasant aroma of malt. plum, mollasses, and caramel. The flavor of this beer is amazing, I just cant get enough, its smooth, has good body and good carbination. With traces of coffee, roasted malts, semi sweet chocolate and brown suger.

Bottle. Euro Summer Secret Santa Swap. Very dark brown - black. Vanilla, a little bit of wood, and lots of chocolate. Bitter, woodsy, dry and yet chocolatey taste. Full body, a little bit of fizz, complex. BlackBerry and vanilla finish.

The aroma is malt, a little coffee, a little chocolate and roasty. Pours black fully diminishing tan head. The taste is bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish bitter. Very Good for a 7% that is probably close to nine years old.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark brown pour with khaki head. Chocolatey aroma with hints of roast, dark fruits and sweet liquorice. The taste is quite thin with light roast, chocolate and caramel. Not matured at all this might be lacking something. This falls somewhat in between. Balanced and clean, but a little bit thin and a little too sweet.

Flaska. Mörkt brun, närmast svart, med ett litet beigt skum. Dofter av kaffe, rostad malt och lakrits. Smakinslag av kaffe, choklad, lakrits, rostad malt och en lättare rökighet. Medelstor kropp. Kaffe i eftersmaken. Trevlig stout.

Lagom tunn kropp. Lite choklad i smaken, lite rök och aska. Jämn.

Totally dark with an average size, mocha colored head that faded fast and left spotty lacing. Aroma of molasses, chicory and dried fruit. Taste is burnt toast, dark fruit and roasted coffee. Notes of bittersweet chocolate in the aftertaste. ABV not too high for the style. Full bodied, modestly carbonated mouthfeel with a long lasting finish.

It has light brown foam and smells most of licorice and a slight hint of coffee and caramel. The taste has good licorice but is most dominated by bitter coffee and here are my taste buds not so happy anymore.
