4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2005 Black! Intensive taste of what feels like dark roasted coffee. Lots of malt and hops. The after-taste is a little bitter and leaves you with a smile on your face. Highly recommended!

Tap@mitm, 2010. Black. Dark roasty coffee, dry chocolate. Roasty, some salt licorice. Pretty ok. Not overpowering or sweety full. More like a robust porter than impy.

Aroma: coffee, toasted malts, chocolate, quite intense. Appearance: black, medium creamy beige head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: light sweets continue, chocolate, light bitters coming up, some coffee, average-long finish,
Overall: excellent Imperial Stout, not too heavy, yet remains nicely balanced and complex. Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2015 Black with thin head. Nice roast on this one, a lot of coffee and some slight chocolate. Taste is upfront a nice bitterness which evens out with the coffee and roastiness, very one trick pony forward, but still, nice, and an excellent stout for 7%.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle from Appellation Wines - Cheers Ash! Pours dark brown, near black, thin tan head that doesn’t stick around. Aromas of tar and cola. Taste brings chocolate and light roast. Kinda sweet. Bit disappointed to be honest.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Have to say that this was a disappointment. Was supposed to be part of a nice "one-two punch" but this was more like a foreign stout than an imperial stout. At only 7% and thin mouthfeel. No chocolate and the coffee tasted more like when you use old coffee grains again for a new cup of coffee. Subtle would be a nice word.

I like it. Not pushing any boundaries but it’s a solid, punchy stout. A good taste of roasted malt with coffee and chocolate. Quite light feel and very smooth - don’t notice the alcohol. Well done.
