Commercial Description:
Nils Oscar Imperial Stout is brewed only in a limited edition. Also Nils Oscar Imperial Stout was awarded as the best beer in the world. This beer is brewed with many varieties of hops and malt, nothing saved to make the stout full of character. Imperial Stout is best enjoyed combined with the dessert but works wonderfully with oysters. The Nils Oscar Imperial Stout can be enjoyed today but preferably mature a couple of years.

Roasty fruitiness meets black molasses in a surprisingly full malt body for the brewery...Fine carbonation let’s plenty of room for the chocolate and lingering roasty bitterness.

Bottle 50 cl. No head to the almost black body. The flavour is quite singular but huge with hints of rust, roasted malts, caramels and roasted coffee. The palete has a creamy and oily feeling to it. The nose is according to my gf a bit similar to burned plastic witch I find quite accurate

330 ml bottle. Pitch black, with a thin light brown head. Roasted malty aroma with dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice. The flavour is roasted, a little sweet at first, with chocolate, some dark fruits and spices. The finish is somewhat drier, roasted and bitter. Very tasty.

Bottle sampled at the Hopsnobbery Collective stout tasting on 1.16.09 courtesy of Dogbrick. Pours darkest brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of coffee and a bit of sweetness. Malty flavor with coffee and chocolate that is slightly metallic. Pretty good foreign stout.

Bottle. Black color, with a large brown head. The nose was sweet and malty, coffee and a hint of smoke. Taste roasted malt, with coffee, roasted coffee(maybe a bid tobacco) with some dryed fruit short of hiding. Great aroma a bid disapointing taste for an imperial stout.

A bit thin smell of sweet chocolate. Nice thickness in the fluid. Balanced taste of sweet chocolate, coffee and nuts.
