Dunkler, nussig-herber Malzantrunk. Das vollmundige Malzaroma weist dabei milde Teilstücke auf, die aber jedes Mal von einer cremigen Röstnote geschlossen werden. Weich, süffig, die Intensität des Malzes zusammen mit der Süffigkeit gefällt zweifellos. Nussig, leider fallen die milden Malzlücken mit der Zeit auf. Das Bier bleibt dennoch voll und gelungen. 8/12/12/11/10/12

Old amateur rating: Smells very dark and the taste is also dark with a touch of wood, but just right. good beer to enjoy, without having something special with Christmas to do. Only that it fits well with the cold time

Bottle. Stored for 2,5 years. Dark amber, nice beige head. Malty chocolate aroma, fruity, some cffee, some figs. Sweet chocolate flavor, cocoa, figs, maybe some grassy notes. Good beer but I had higher expectations.

Dark brown with a medium tan creamy head. Dark bread, malt, nuts, caramel, chocolate and some spices. Very drinkable and pleasant beer to drink. Has aged with dignity.

Bottle (Stockholm Beer Festival 2010) - Dark brown with red tinges. Roasted aroma with dried fruit, caramel and spicy malt. Spicy, fruity and malty taste with roasted coffee and raisins.

(Bottle) Pours dark, dark mahogany brown with a nougat coloured head. The aroma is medium to heavily malty with lots dark bread, milk chocolate and mild coffee beans up front. Undertones of dark fruit, brown sugar, dark caramel, nuts, mint, burned corn, liquorice root, mild smoke and soft spices. Typical NO maltiness - deep and almost earthy. Little to no aroma hops (2-year-old bottle). The flavour near medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Spicy, chocolaty, brown sugary, bready and light earthy. Some tobacco, mint, liquorice, dark fruits, fudge and old flowers as well. The mouthfeel is round, soft and velvety with no acidic tones whatsoever. Light to medium carbonation. Spices and chocolate in the finish. Solid, medium bodied. Wow, this is fantastic - mellow without any oxidation.
