On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy brown woth a small beige head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a raisin malt and grain. Medium mouthfeel with sweet roast and dry finish. A good scotch ale from Nils.

1/21/12. On tap. Dark brown pour with a nice khaki head. Relatively faint aroma with some caramel and roast. Nice sweet flavor of caramel, dark fruits, a bit of tropical fruit, a surprising hop presence, and lingering roasty bitterness. Lightish, but tasty.

ClubGonzo (1736) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours a deep bronze body with a mid-sized light beige head. Nose is toffee, blackcurrants and dark malts. Taste is the characteristic "house yeast" of Nils Oscar (musty cellar-like), roasty malts and hints of caramel, toffee and sugar. Somehow a bit dry, despite the sweetness. Pretty nice, but not exceptional.

Ar: roasted malts, heavy dry notes of coffee, meat, sweetish and warming finish. Ap: Deep ruby/Brown colour, medium beige head, lacing. F: heavy roastiness dry, coffee, chocolate, rather bitter, sweetish and warming finish? M: average T: One of the better traditional christmas beers from Sweden.

Dark brown with red touch and a off-white head. Very rich beer with chocolate and dried fruit. A rich malty sweetness and a steady bitterness to balance it. A slight mineral touch as well. The mouthfeel is fairly oily in a nice way.

Pours copper brown no head. Aromas fudgy, malty, some brown sugar. Taste and palate mild, malty and fudgy. An ok christmas beer but should have more bitterness
