UPDATED: DEC 12, 2005 Bronze color, with a quite creamy but not very big head. Aroma is wonderful from toffee, sweet and also a little metallic. Has a quite dry flavor, fruity and nutty, some malt in it as well. Ends with a bitter finish.

Amber coloured with a nice long-lasting white. Good lacing. Caramel and toffee in aroma. Malty caramel flavour with a dry finish. Hints of nuts and fir.

Very average product, taking into consideration other Nils Oscar's brews. A very weak Christmas ale as well with not much character.

fiulijn (14513) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 21, 2003
Clean amber color; generous thick head. Almost disappointing aroma: malty, metallic and somehow smelly. Much more interesting flavor: dry, malty, good roasted malt really pronounciated, quite complex, just a bit metallic. Palate boldly bitter.
Not extraordinary, but an interesting one (Scottish Ale).

Buckwheat flavor. Very average for Tarno. I don’t understand, why is it called "Christmas Celebration Ale".

Ronny (100) - Arlöv, SWEDEN - DEC 7, 2002
Toffy, citrus and buttercaramel in the aroma.Nice looking bronze colour. But taste to burnt a bitter for a christmas beer to enjoy in the sofa at christmas eve. But with food maybe better?

A good thorough bitterness, very evident presence of hops and caramel, but why keep this burnt sidetone? Good for s sturdy meal, not for sipping.

pilsnerrogge (2497) - Finspång, SWEDEN - JUN 21, 2002
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2008 [BOTTLED] Pours dark copper with a firm head. Caramel and hop aroma. Flavour starts with roasty, peaty, almost smoked malt and finishes with a long, hoppy bitterness.
