bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 6, 2004
Bottle. The colour is dark red with a tint of copper; the fast dissolving foam is pale beige.

The smell is sweet, malty, a little burned and bitter; some sour notes, crisp bread and a just perceptible touch of tar.

The carbonation is soft and gentle (but not at all staled). The mouthfeel is fresh and balanced.

The taste is somewhat sweet and compound. It is very malty with a burned flavour and a touch of crisp rye bread. It is quite light in taste, but there is a nice balance and a robust body. The rather short aftertaste is also malty and balanced with a good body, a soft bitterness and a sourish touch.

I found this being a fine, sweeter Märzen.

Ungstrup (30255) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2004
A red-brown beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is slightly spicy combined with notes of caramel. The flavor is malty with sweet notes of caramel as well as being rather hoppy which lead to an OK bitter end.

ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2004
Reddish body with off-white solid head. Aroma is malty with a nice sweetness, some caramel and spices. Flavor reflects the aroma. Palate is fairly thin for a märzen style beer.
