Very nice balanced christmas beer. The aroma is of wonderful charactare, an aroma of barn, hay and christmas.

Bottle @ home. Dark amber and clear color with an off white creamy head. Malty , sweet and spicy aroma with dark bread, cereal and some fruits in the background. Sweet and medium bodied with medium carbonation. Malty and Spicy with spruce needles, bread, cereal and crackers. Balanced and lasting bitterness.

Pours dark red with light beige head and nice lacing. Wonderful aroma of bread, toffee & caramel. The flavor does not match the aroma though, sweet with a long lasting bitterness with a slight metallic finish. Body feels a bit thin despite of its sweetness.

2007 bottle. Malty. Much like NO’s barley wine. Not sweet enough, not bitter enough. Some nice toffee in there, though.

Bottle. The colour is dark red with a tint of copper; the fast dissolving foam is pale beige.

The smell is sweet, malty, a little burned and bitter; some sour notes, crisp bread and a just perceptible touch of tar.

The carbonation is soft and gentle (but not at all staled). The mouthfeel is fresh and balanced.

The taste is somewhat sweet and compound. It is very malty with a burned flavour and a touch of crisp rye bread. It is quite light in taste, but there is a nice balance and a robust body. The rather short aftertaste is also malty and balanced with a good body, a soft bitterness and a sourish touch.

I found this being a fine, sweeter Märzen.

Ljusbrun vätska med låg krona. Doften är maltig, söt och fyllig. Smaken är söt och fyllig. För tankarna mot julmust. God, men säkert ännu bättre till julbordet.

Golden sparkling amber with an offwhite head. Sweet butterscotch aroma with a fresh hint of citrus from the cascade hops. Quite light, sweet malty flavor with butterscotch, some spicy herbs and orange. Perfectly balanced with a smooth and mellow mouthfeel. Very pleasant, can´t wait to have it at the traditional swedish christmas dinner.

Bottle 081129. Candylike metallic and slightly malty, grainy aroma. Sourish, grainy and metallic flavor.

Mahognybrun med litet skum. Lätt bränd karamell i doften. Smaken tämligen maltig men något tunn. Eftersmaken något besk & ganska lång.

A subtle and sweet dolor. To resist such appropriate color. As I observe this generous head. And wonder what else should be said. Perhaps best not to verbose. As good bitterness invades my nose. And malt flavors tease me gently. Oktoberfest it is undoubtfully. As this beer is quite lagerish. Dry is well in the finish. I guess I have been quite foolish. To think "What good could be swedish?" And yet another good dose. Of a finely bottled prose. So for this exact matter. I thank Eructoblaster!
