Ingevara (466), Hindås, Sweden Apr 4, 2005 Mmm.A thick white head covering a brownish reddish golden beer with an excellent fragrance. The flavor is full of hops and caramell, sweetness well balanced and the aroma deep and rich. The bitterness is excellent. The beer is excellent. YES!! bark (255), Linköping, Sweden Mar 22, 2005 Bottle. The colour is red-brown; the head is large, airy, firm and beige.
The complex smell got a fine flavour of aroma hops (Fuggles? Challenger?), a touch of malt, some bitterness and a sweet note.
The carbonation is both refreshing and gentle.
The taste is first hoppy with a touch of Madeira, and then it develops into a full-bodied taste with a mild bitterness and a sour-earthy touch. The aftertaste is long and balanced with some earthy notes.
The best beer from Nils Oscars I have reviewed so far: A well-crafted, complex and musty vienna lager
omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 6, 2002 Amber coloured. Flowery, citric,
and roasty aroma. Clean, firm maltiness. Very bitter finish. A great beer as usual from this brewery. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 24, 2003 Amber colored, pours with a good size head. The appearance of this beer in a glass is classic. Malty carmel flavor with notes of pepper, and some burnt taste. Slight and interesting finish, a truely great beer. Thanks Per duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Apr 9, 2002 A very flowery/hoppy aroma, extremely tasty beer, nice maltiness in the middle and then very hoppy, bitter finish. Surprised that it was a Vienna though, tasted like and English bitter or something. Very tasty beer.
