best beer I've ever had. This is a good strong English ale impression.Floral nose, sweet malt, caramel and quite fresh and pleasing to the senses.

Tap at OBF
A: Reddish brown with purple outlines. Creme colored head and some lacing.
N: Toffee, pecan, dark fruit, vanilla and caramel. Touch of spruce and earth. Coffee and tobacco.
T: Sweet with a rough edge of bitterness.
M: Medium body, light stickiness, a touch of alcohol.
O: A good malty beer. The balancing act is deftly managed, and I’m glad to have tried this. Doesn’t strike me with any immediate comparisons, however.

Not bad. Not as sweet as normally prefer, but not too bitter, either. I would drink it again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Even thought they call this an "English style ale," this is actually a very American ale. Lots of hops, and too sweet. If it were English, I would expect a smoother hop character, and drier flavor. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma of fruit and cedar. Overall, this is a bit disappointing, but still drinkable.

Bottle from BevMo, Phoenix. Rich caramel malt aroma with some roasted toffee. Pours brownish amber with a light brown head and decent lacing. Sweet caramel with some brown sugary notes. Finishes with the roasted toffee and just a bit of hops at the very end. I like it.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A reddish copper ale with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light fruity notes, faint molasses, alcohol warmth, not bad. In mouth, a sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, so-so. On tap at brewery.
