Near black with thick tan creamy head and foamy lacing. Malty aroma has a faint tinge of rubbing alcohol lurking the background. Bitter / sweet taste of dark-roasted coffee and toffee. Creamy mouthfeel.

Thanks to Immy for this one. From bottle, pours a red mahogany with tan fo9amy head. Nose is light, sweet malt. Flavor is earthy malt with a light bitter finish. Surprising this was 8%!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Taco Mac. Nice looking pour - dark reddish brown with a creamy light tan head. Aroma is caramel apple, butterscotch, toasted malt and molassess. I liked the aroma better than the taste presented the toasted malt and caramel, but not a lot of complexity. There was a kind of metallic taste that kept creeping in and a bit more sourness than i prefer. Finishes dry with a lingering bitterness. Mouth feel was fairly thick despite only moderate carbonation. Interesting brew, glad Iíd tried.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a very murky/muddy brown, with a quarter inch off-white head that settles slowly to a soapy cap and ring. The lacing is pretty thick, but not very sticky.
Smell; caramel malts and a touch of coffee up front, with a rich nutty aroma mixed in, and hints of tobacco. Thereís almost no hop aroma to speak of, but Iím not surprised.
Taste; very rich and nutty up front, and then fades in to a mildly tobacco flavor. The caramel is present as well as some chocolate and coffee, and finished with just a touch of bitter hops. This is a bit more robust than your average brown ale.
Mouthfee/Drinkability; mouthfeel is a bit fuller thatn Iím used to for a brown, but it seems to fit this flaover profile just right, and the drinkability is pretty darn good. The only thing that would keep this from be a good session beer, for me, is the alcohol.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A gift from a friend in AZ.
Poured into a pint glass being dark amber brown with a one inch tan head that laced nicely down the glass during consumption.
Strong malty sweetness of caramel & very light booze.
Definite dark fruity roasted toffee yet a dry finish of hops. Like the bitter end of this beverage. Balanced very well.
Overall this is a better than average English style pub beer. Would easily consume again.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured deep brown with a small light tan head. The aroma was malty with hints of caramel and raison. Flavor was a well blended hop bitterness with malty caramelly notes. The alcohol is up front and the hops mellow out as the beer warms. Very nice.

12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold.
Aroma: Dark roasty malt. A little caramel, but mostly just malt.
Appearance: Dark, translucent rust body, sparse off-white head.
Taste: All roasty, semi-sweet malt, and a little bit of caramel again.
Palate: You donít taste the 8.2% alcohol. At all. Short finish. Mild sweetness, mild bitterness.
Overall: Great beer. Watch out! It will creep up on you and mess you up. Drinks easy, nice and malty, but dangerous haha.
