COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nimbus Red Ale is a rich, medium-bodied American-style amber ale. Known for its sophisticated mouth feel and exceptional drinkability, our Red Ale is a true classic. Copper-hued and well-balanced, Nimbus Red Ale has a lightly sweet taste enhanced with the flavor of four different malt varieties and flaked barley. We brew this beer with handpicked Chinook and Cascade hops. This combination gives our Red a mild malt sweetness and a relatively dry, aromatic finish. Never bitter, Nimbus Red is sure to please the beer lover who enjoys lighter flavors and a lower alcohol content. It's crisp, refreshing taste has made our Red a fixture at major sporting events throughout Southern Arizona.

Twelve ounce bottle from Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club, tasted on October 26, 2013. Dark amber color, surprisingly firm bittersweet nose with strong malty backbone, interesting bittersweet flavor that’s like a cross between a bitter and an amber ale.

Bottle from BevMo, Phoenix. Sweet caramel malt aroma with a hint of hops. Pours caramel-amber colored with a thin, white head and no lacing. Sweet and malty to start with a lot of caramel. Finishes dry and fairly smooth with only a slight hoppy bite that lingers on the palate. Nice and refreshing take on a red. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

JDBaker11058 (1223) - Maryland, USA - DEC 27, 2013
Appearance: clear coppery orange with an average, light tan head. Aroma: light aroma of caramel, toasted brown bread, with some marmalade/apricot fruity notes. Taste: as the aroma indicates, with slightly sweet caramel malts dominant over stone fruits and slightly earthy hops. Finish: smooth, light, and a tad slick/soft. Notes: Almost completely forgettable.

Pours a translucent reddish-brown with no head. Light nose of malt and sweetness. Taste is malt, some sweetness - it is very, very simple, but crisp and enjoyable. Easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy medium copper pour, bubbly eggshell white head, light film of lacing. Aroma is slightly muddled, but not unpleasant, hints of toffee, ripening fruit. Flavor has some caramel notes, some light fruit jam - a variety of flavors - a light touch of citrus bitterness. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it, Kind of muddled, but very drinkable.

crazyvin (1911) - New York, USA - OCT 25, 2013
An reddish-amber body with a white head that had nice retention, but no lace. Aroma had a moderate caramel malt presence initially, there was a mild corn note. Mild hop profile. Flavor was sweet from the caramel malts, but there was an off flavor to it. Seemed to have a mild bitterness to it, which added to the off flavor or at least emphasize it. Finish was smooth.

Bottle - via Ale in the Mail. Amber to copper color - light head. Aroma is malty and a bit sweet. OK - malty and hoppy but some diacetyl there as an off flavor.
