COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Babylon is an English take on an American style of the traditionally English India Pale Ale. Originated for the long voyage from England to India, and adopted as the quintessential Northwest beer style, IPA’s have a strong presence in the modern craft beer scene. This big Double IPA is influenced by its English roots, but firmly planted in the modern stylings of Northwest brewing, and enjoyable to hop enthusiasts everywhere!

Bomber at Lake Wenatchee.

Deep red-orange pour with abundant head. Pineapple aroma, pine-sap flavors. Sticky sweet on the front end. A bit hot. Not a good DIPA.

Lagerboy (1182) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 11, 2013
Bomber. Opaque orange, small off-white head fades. Faint sweet malt citrus hop aroma. Taste is fruity sweet caramel malts with a moderate floral citrus hop bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium-full body, well hopped. This English take on an American take of an English style lacks intensity, as I suppose it should, but it’s still DNFL (Definitely Not For Lagerboys)

Bottle. An orange color with a thin white head. A malty pine aroma with a full body. Rather muddled.

illidurit (2121) - Petaluma, California, USA - JUL 2, 2013
Malty (caramel and crystal), citrus and slight resinous hoppiness. Thick and unwieldy. Not nearly hop-forward enough to be any sort of IPA

Beer has a hazy orange color with a small head. Aroma has a floral and spicy notes with a little bit of hops. Taste has mild bitterness with some hops. Short finish.

Reddish brown in color... Aroma of sweet toffee... Flavor is caramel, malts, hits of hops on finish... Intensely malty and sweet, not a dry ipa by any means... Not very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught in a flight. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a moderate white head on it. Nose is decently hoppy with pine elements coming off of it. Taste is somewhat bitter, but pretty smooth. Decent DIPA, and I’d happily drink it some more.

Very week aroma of metallic malts. Copper appearance. Very dispraportionate flavors of burnt caramel, more metallic flavors, odd funk and awkward bitter hops. Overall, this is extremely unbalanced and awkward. Not pleasant drinking at all.

22 oz bottle - Pours a hazy orange. Major hops aroma. Smells a bit of alcohol. Oh, boy! Good strong Imperial IPA flavor. Solid, but nothing special for this category.

Pours cloudy amber, big white head. No real nose, very weak. Taste is a mix of hops and malt that just doesn’t work that well for me. Finish is okay, nothing special.
