3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into a wide flute glass. Deep red color with a great inch of thick white head.
Smells of rich malt, lots of it and only that.
Initially watery, then malty with a hop kick at the end.
Smooth and a little creamy. Low carbonation and medium bodied. A good mix.
Great drinking beer. Nice malty smell and taste plus it is actually red.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a vibrant orange and copper mix color. Aroma is of dark malt mixed with clean hops. A slight sweetness to the taste, hint of caramel and raisin. The aftertaste leaves a minor happy bitterness that is smooth and easy drinking. A clean delicious beer that has complex flavors with nothing overbearing.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear blood orange flesh with a central dome and peripheral etch of light tan foam. Smells of some resiny hops, a bready rye like character and a touch of BO. Flavor is bitter with that nice red beer spicy character (I think this is from Special B malt...). A good dose of sweetened malts, some bits of tea hops and a cinnamon like finish that is longer than anticipated. Medium bodied with reserved carb and a bit of a dry finish. Nice enough beer, but I donít buy it very often anymore due to the price hike (which is miniscule).

on tap at the Provisions Market, wonderful dark ruby red pour with a frothy white head. Grassy hops taste with a bit of malt, really well blended, totally tasty beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a vibrant, clear, copper-brown with a tan, sudsy head. Toffee, grassy nose. Smooth, wet mouthfeel. Toasty toffe, sweet fruity flavors with some grassy bitterness. Everything is well-blended.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very strong and good malting. The hops went through a range of citrus to fruitiness as it warmed. Very lacy and large mocha coloured head.
A nice take on the style, thanks Len.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Earthy, pulpy, tilled with dark chocolate notes. This red ale has sharpened horns. One of the better Ninkasi offerings, propelled by a fiery complexity.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours CRYSTAL-CLEAR red with a nice white head. Aroma is some maltiness (caramel, breadlike) with a strong shot of hops. Initial taste is hoppy/bitter with the maltiness trying to come through and balance it all out. Light bodied with good carbonation. This is definitely a hop-forward red ale.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Out of the variety pack that Ninkasi offers. Rich malty taste with a hoppy finish. Not my favorite red ale.
