Pours deep rich dark brown with red highlights. Full light tan head with plenty of lacing. Taste is big malt profile with strong citrus hops. Much more balanced than some other strong ales. Alcohol is well hidden. An enjoyable brew will have some more.

Aromas of floral piney hops, light citrus, and some caramel and toasty malts. Nice and hoppy with a pepper, floral, and citrus bitterness profile. Clear red/brown body with a big beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel and lots of hops. Flavor as a nice, powerful balance of malt, sweet caramel and lots of hops. Fine, rich body and a long flavorful finish. An interesting and well made mix of IPA and red ale.
