Tap @ Bailey’s 5th Anniversary Barrel Aged Beer Fest... Poured pitch black with a thick, frothy khaki head. Nose had oats and roast with hardly any barrel character. How long did they barrel age this? A day?!?! Successful as a good stout, but where’s the barrel. Strongly disappointing in that sense. Notes of roasted and toast grains, cocoa, mocha coffee and a sweet finish.

Nose of wood soaked bourbon, roast, and dark sweet chocolate. Pours black, thin tan head. Flavors up front of bourbon soaked wood, chocolate, alcohol, light roast and coffee. Perhaps a little thin, lingering wood and alcohol.
