3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pineapple, mango, and papaya in a red ipa..whoa, that’s creative! Aroma is slightly fruity, but I wouldn’t be able to pull out those aromas. Clear red/amber color. Sips nice and lively with nice hop presence. Body is medium to full and the middle and finish bring the malt to compliment the sweetness and hops. Slight watery body in the finish is my only complaint. Dry and sweet balance in the finish as well. Nice double ipa.

True in red color with 2 fingers head. Nice big round red ale with slight hoppy finish. The finish is actually quite boozy but it is really nice. Great beer.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Norfolk, VA. Dark orange pour with a frothy, but short, off-white head. Aroma of damp pale malt, wet grass, and light citrus. Taste is good with an almost rye-like sweetness, some citrus, tropical fruit, and wet grass. The hop bitterness is muted by the sturdy malt backbone. This is a good India-Style Red Ale.

Stuart, Fl - Total Wine & More - 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy medium copper with a thick off-white bubbly head. Aroma has some spruce tip accents, a hint of juicy fruit gum. Succulent flavor, light, tart citrus bite, some caramel accents, a bit of toffee, some cake mix yeastiness in the back end. Thick, rich mouthfeel.

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ninkasi Dawn of the Red India Red Ale is a good standard red ale. Pour is chestnut brown with a frothy head. Aroma is that of fresh hops with a bit of pine. Taste is fruity with just enough piney hop bite. Dawn of the Red is good enough to reincarnate and it goes well with food.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22oz bottle shared with my son on 22nd May 2016. Red hue to the copper/amber body, some sediment in the second glass, the head an off-white affair that tried to hang around. Aroma of malts and tropical fruit esters, taste follows the same lines. Decent enough, but lacked something: not sure what.

This red ale just looks like a typical copper colored IPA but has a great peppery pine hop bouquet with a generous dose of caramel malt sweetness. Fairly full bodied with a round carbonation.
The taste is bitter earthy pine sap then malt sweetness. A clean tasting hoppy "red" ale. Nice, I love the label though as I'm a big zombie movie fan.
